Check the Transmission Fluid. If you Transmission fluid is ok than its you Transmission is bad.

SOURCE: i have a nissan altima

Unfortunately, this is a problem with a thing called the idle step control (I.S.C.) motor. To prevent having chokes like we used to in the old days, the engine automatically adjusts the idle depending on engine temperature/load conditions. The I S C motor is the component that does this.

Sometimes if the battery dies or if there is a lto of carbon nbuildup (from unburnt fuel), this isc motor goes out of alignement....you will have to take it to a mechainc where they will be able to rest the base idle settings and this adjustment as well.

SOURCE: 2007 nissan altima won't go in reverse or drive

Hi,
It starts and runs OK, correct?

Check your fluid level - Directions in the Owner's Manual.

Are you pushing the brake pedal b4 trying to move the lever (sorry, have to ask)?

Does the lever move @ all? Into Neutral?

Is the Check Engine Light on?

Sounds like you'll need to have it towed to a shop. Call the Better Business Bureau for a reference, or recommendations from family/friends.

Transmission fluid pressure sensor code according to Alldata. You definitely need a transmission shop.

Why doesnt my nissan altima shift

Im assuming you mean that the vehicle wont move when put it in gear and its an automatic! Check the transmission fluid level if it is ok check if vehicle will move in any other gear reverse 1 or L etc. If not it maybe a torque converter issue and maybe best for a transmission shop to sort

PO345 is the cam shaft positioning sensor and PO325 is the knock sensor. Check your starter and your battery.

95 NISSAN ALTIMA TURNS OVER WONT START AIR FILTER SMOKING

Its probably back-firing in the intake - which means it is firing early or the fuel mixture is very lean.
This engine uses a distributor cap and rotor, so I would start there and make sure the cylinders are firing correctly.
If the ignition checks out ok, it could be a problem with the cam timing.

Nissan Altima not reversing sometimes

good day;
When was the transmission fluid and filter changed last? Could be that the fluid is dirty and the valve for the reverse gear is blocked. Let me know how you make out.

Cheers.
