You need 9.8 quarts of Dexron III or later, for a dry fill. A wet service fill will be less, about 6-7 quarts. Autozone or any other auto spares outlet will have it.
Are you replacing the filter? Are you replacing the transmission? Are you flushing or replacing the torque converter? Which motor & transmission? All these things make a huge difference in how much fluid it takes to refill it.

Hi,
You need about 3.5 quarts or until the filing hole drips when putting the gear oil. SAE 90W is required, add some aftermarket lubricant additive for best result.
Hope that helps you!
Flush the automatic transmission fluid, making sure to replace it with SPIII (SP3) fluid. It is available at Mitsubishi, Hyundai, and Kia dealers. Kia sells it cheapest. Get 12 quarts even though the capacity is only 9 quarts...the additional 3 should be used to flush the system thoroughly.
Ok, Mobil atf is more of a universal fluid, where Mitsubishi atf would be specifically formulated to be used in their products. Personally I would use the Mitsubishi as it is brand specific, but you can use either one with more than likely no problems.
