2005 honda acc'd lx front lights low beam out but high beams are fine. fuse box under hood both h & low beams use same fuse is there a different fuse I am unaware of in the circuit that I can check?

The problem occurred when I had a battery failure and the ground wire touched the neg pole on the battery when the positive lead was still attached. causing a couple of sparks that I hope caused some fuse to blow. I checked all of the fuses under the hood but all of them seem to be good I know that there is another fuse block at the drivers feet but I have no schematic or cover data as the cover has gone missing. can you help?

The low beams have a different fuse then the high beams. High beams fuse's 3 & 5 both 10amp . low beams are 1 & 6 both 10 amp . plus there is a relay control module . The relay for the low beams could be bad ,or the light dimmer switch is bad . or the combination switch control unit is the culprit . You can find a wiring diagram at http://bbbind.com/free_tsb.html . Check out some basic electrical trouble shooting videos on you tube an test the circuit .That's best advice I can give , trouble shooting automotive electrical systems is no easy task . Especially for a rookie . Headlamp switches are not wired directly to the headlamps , the switch is a low voltage input to the combination switch control unit ,which then sends a signal to the relay control module for activation . Low beam headlight - passenger side - on my 2006 Buick Lacrosse does not work. I've tried a new bulb - no help. The fuse - underhood fuse box - for the low beam is good. There is no voltage to that fuse...

From Info I have looked at I believe under hood micro switch relay 35 is for low beam and 34 is for high beam. It also looks like you have a different fuse for each light. The relay are for both low beam or both high beams. each headlight has its own fuse. I believe #4 fuse under hood is for passenger side low beam. fuses 1-4 under hood are for the four headlights as I understand the info I have seen.

Where is low beam relay for 2005 honda accord ex model

Should be under the hood in one of the fuse/relay boxes.

I believe that most cars just have one relay for the headlights. This controls both the low and high beams.

My headlights dont work,.all other lights are fine though,.is it the fuses or the bulbs? im not sure what fuses they would be,.there seem to be different ones for the same thing

do your flash to pass lamps light when you pull the stalk towards you? If yes, the bulbs are ok.
Do the hig beams work?
Your headlamps have sepaerate fuses for each headlamp and you have a low beam relay and a high beam relay under the hood in the black box.
If everything is out, I suspect a bad headlamp switch.
Check car-part.com and look on page with * for cheapest price.

Your owner manual will identify fuses & relays.

PS, You did not recently instal high current bulbs did you? If yes, put originals back in.

HEADLAMPS

The voltage is supplied to the lamp switch through a fuse. This fuse is located in the central junction box in the left-hand footwell.
When the headlamps are switched on, a voltage is supplied to the high beam/low beam switch and to the low beam relay. The relay for the low beam is located in the battery junction box (BJB) in the engine compartment.
If the high beam/low beam switch is set to "low beam", then a voltage is supplied through the low beam relay to the low beam part of the headlamp assembly. The left and right-hand low beams are fused separately. The fuses are located in the battery junction box (BJB) in the engine compartment.
If the high beam/low beam switch is set to "high beam", then a voltage is supplied through the high beam relay to the high beam part of the headlamp assembly. The left and right-hand high beams are fused separately. The fuses are located in the battery junction box (BJB) in the engine compartment.
