My 2006 vw passat autohold button is not working need to change fuse were is it located?

The owner's manual is the only source other than a factory repair manual. VW does not allow free access to these manuals you must buy them from VW. You could check eBay for a used one, you might get lucky and find one there.

POSSIBLE DAMMAGED MOTOR!!!!!!!THE ECU SENDS THE CONTROL BUT MOTOR DOES NOT WORK.IF U ARE LUCKY ENOUGH U MIGHT BE ABLE TO MAKE IT WORK.FIRST PUT KEY IN POCKET.THEN OPEN HOOD.OPEN BATTERY COVER IF ANY.USE THE SUPPLIED 10-13 KEY U WILL FIND AT THE CARS TOOLBOX AT THE TRUNK.UNSCREW THE NEGATIVE POLE OF THE BATTERY AND TAKE IT OUT.LEAVE FOR AT LEAST 3 MINUTES AND THEN REPLACE AND TIGHTEN NOT TO FIRM CAUSE THE BOLTS SNAP!!!GO INSIDE THE CAR AND START THE ENGINE.BUCLE UP PRESS THE AUTO HOLD BUTTON AND START MOVING . 8 OUT OF 10 CARS RELEASE THE BRAKE.IF YOUR CAR WONT MOVE THEN CALL TRIPLE AID AND TO THE WORK SHOP IMEDIATELLY!!!!AN AUTHORISED DEALER PREFERABLY!!!

I had the same problem on my Passat Variant 2007.
Randomly Park Brake won't activate and/or deactivate once button PB pressed.
The cockpit computer tells "Park Brake Error" (or something similar).
If this is your problem, the issue is very well known to VW Service centers.
I had solved it by bringing the car to the Service: The told me that they substituted the ParkBrake Button (a differently made one, even if identical on the exterior) and Reprogramming (Updating) the car computer software.

First guess is that your battery is worn out, a new one will probably do the trick

There is no fuse for the third brake light that I know of, it is wired into the main brake light wiring on most cars anyway. Probably the bulb is blown.

There is an electrical relay that is malfuctioning. I had the same problem on my 2000 VW Passat. I just got it fixed, part cost 48 dollars and labor will be about an hour.

the sensor that tells the can bus what position the stick is in is located on the gearbox not on gearstick.you need to know what position that sensor is seeing the only way is with a more advanced diagnostic tool than just a fault reader.i would recomend vw dealer as passat electrical sytems can be a bit of a challenge when they go wrong and a dealer will be best placed to sort it for you.
