Make sure you are getting power to the alternator.

Did you try the battery connections. Make sure they are on correctly.

you will have to check else where as fuses do not stay on. They are simply a piece of resistance wire designed to burn out at a set current flow . So a 20 amp fuse will burn out at 21 amps. Look for relays or bulbs that are still on, like boot lights , glove box lights , interior lights etc

there is an E Z WAY for you to find out what is roung with youer lights .go to youer head light there are three wires there find the bigs one an make a small hole in it now get a pice of wiure that isa long enuiff to go form the head light to the batter ,strap at lest 1hafe of an IN'to baer wire so that you will get a good conatch to the +poted of the batter an the ether end to head light big wire .now remanber that that wire mosted also be straped 1 hafe IN 'so when you put the wire form batter to the light threr will be power to the light if ther is light when you do this then the swithes.is bad ,,that mines get a new light switch .now if ypou dont want to drive in the drark'i hope this helps you out

14 amps under load isnt enough, plus the brushes in the alternator may be getting short, thats why the light is sometimes on. Ideally the alternator should be checked while the light is on.

you have blown the side light fuse when the headlight smashed ,somewhere the wires are bamaged or the side light bulb has broke and the filament feed wires have touched causing the fuse to blow ,also look under the bonnet next to battery their is a power distribution box next to batter ,check uses in here as well ,they are not markewt though so look for a red 10 amp or a blue 15 amp fuse

i have a 2005 saturn ion i have the some problem i find out my batter we dead the batter is old school its vented and the batter is a 8 amp to save the batter get charger that his i amp selecter or you will have to pay 100 to120 next you have to get a starter it worked for me

if you dont plan on adding any aftermarket lights,amps,or power mods just get the recommended group size any place that sales batteries can give you the correct one.
