have you had the fuel pressure read from the pump ? i'd have the OBD codes read as will tell you which sensor/switch is at fault , that was bad luck if the pump did fail , i think it's more likely a sensor/switch issue , keep me posted if you wish
more like fuel pump damaged. gasoline keeps fuel pump cool and lubricated if fuel tank run empty fuel pump will over heat which will destroy it. never run out of gas.fuel filter will get plugged with debris from fuel tank when tank runs empty all sediment botton tank will break up stop up fuel filter.
You could easily have caused damage to your fuel pump in the process of running out of fuel. I would suggest starting with that and replacing it if you need to. Did it give you an error code? You could check your fuel filter also. You can also try to reset your computer and see if that fixes it, but only if you have a check engine light. If it is giving you a code, take it to a mechanic and let him tell you what the code is, or post it on here. You can also run some injector cleaner through and see if that helps at all. I would start with the fuel filter then pump though. Good luck!
FUEL PUMP MIGHT STILL WORK,BUT IT MIGHT NOT BUILD UP ENOUGH FUEL PRESSURE.ALSO COULD BE M A S,,,MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR,CHECK IT CLEAN IT,OR REPLACE IT..YOUR THROTTLE POSISTIONING SENSOR ALSO.IF IT MOVED OR FAULTY CAR NO GO.I HAD IT,REPLACED AWAY I WENT...OTHER SIMPLE IS FUEL FILTER
You might have killed your fuel pump. It's said that if you let the tank get too low or run the pump dry you can ruin it. I would see about getting a fuel pressure tester to check it.
it look like a mass air flow sensor the sensor that goes in the air filter usual sentra symtom no power stall when realesing the gas pedal pierre p.s go to a wreaker scrap yard bye the piece it will work
