Chevy aveo 2004 sputtering and won't stay running just had a humming sound then died what could it be

Sounds like fuel pump check the relay under the hood pull out fuse for fuel pump lightly sand plug portion with fine sandpaper and retry it

, like it ain't gettin fuel; probabley a fuel pump or fuel injecter, fuel filter, something along those lines. Start with the filter its cheapest

Sounds like your alternator is going out....Have it checked at autozone or someplace.

P2135 Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Property Malfunction, remember this is not a car that is built by GM it is a Korean import.

check the fuel pump and related electrical system and fuses. The aveo doesn't have a fuel filter but only a screen at the bottom of the pump. I had to replace the fuel pump in my 2004 aveo at 80k due to a clogged screen. Hope this helps

there is a Technical service bulletin for this problem, the number of the TSB is 01575, TSB Date:January 1, 2004
It has to do with engine valve seating problems.

There is a Communication problem between the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and the Engine control module. That is the bad news and is why it's shutting down the engine. 
The good news is i believe there is a TSB recall on the 2004 - 2007 chevy aveo for the P0700 problem so it should be covered under warranty.
