Car started at idling at red light horrible tapping noise but would stop only do it intermittent then next day shut off while driving towed it home n garage told us it was can shaft sensors we replaced both but car doing same thing starts one time after sitting for long period u hear clicking or tapping noise then shuts offn refuses to restart.......help what could it be???? Please dont reply unless u have experience with this and can tell me exactly what I am looking at being wrong with the car.....I dont have money to replace a bunch of things guessing what it is....I dont have money to tow to garage to get diagnosis n my husband has little to no experience with cars
I would need to hear the noise to make any guess as to what is the cause.source. Sorry.
Could it be clogged fuel injectors????
No they would not make noise, it is most likely in the valve train parts. That is a guess.
