Check engine light on ? Did you have it hooked up to diagnostic tool ? Could be a few different thing's , engine sensors , fuel system problem , plugged exhaust etc... If unfamiliar with this your best bet would be to take it to a qualified repair shop .

Sounds like your fuel filter is getting clogged up. Get that changed and it will be fixed. Should be an easy, cheap fix. Hope this helps, James Booth :))

Wish I had an answer - sounds very much like a problem I am having with my '92 LS400. I have a parts car, and have changed out the ECM, fuel pump, injectors, fuel pilter, fuel pressure regulator, ran the can with exhaust unbolted (check for clogged CATs, checked out my timing belt for slippage amoung other things, and nothing works. I have no check engine light on. Do you?

Starts but dies if let off gas

sounds like a bad throttle position sensor or one that has lost sink..try removing both battery cables and once off the battery open the drivers door wait 2 min the reconnect the battery .then press the gas pedel to the floor and out ten times.with the ignition on not running. then if this dont work it may just be bad..any check engine lights?

1993 Lexus Ls400 loss of power at 2500-3000rpm

Check your MAF and MAP sensor. The first 80% of your throttle signal from the TPS works with the O2 sensor to try to keep the air fuel ratio to 14.7 to 1 with the ECM controlling the fuel injector spray time and timing the ignition. After the 80% to WOT the ECM puts the O2 sensor in to an open loop and takes the Reading form the MAF and MAP sensor to run the engine richer so there will not be any Detonation to the engine and burning holes in the valves for running too lean. That is why it always feel like you get a little more when you ease off on the gas peddle from WOT. Recap check the TPS, MAF,and MAP sensor and wires to those sensors, if you can get the car scanned that would be great and you may find out which sensor may have gone bad, the other thing to is the fuel pressure regulator may be going bad and at WOT the pressure may be to high causing it to run to rich causing the loss of power. Good luck and hope this helps.

It sounds like a fuel delivery issue so it could be many things such as low fuel pressure from the pump, clogged or partially pluged fuel filter, a malfunctioning throttle posisitioning sensor (if you have a check engine light on) or if its turbo it could be turbo lag etc.

It sounds like you may have lost your water pump or your thermostate may have gone bad too. Regardless if your going to change your water pump your going to have to change the thermosate too.
As for the transmission it could be your spider gears , there weak in the 700R4 and other you lose your reverse first with had lurchs when put in to drive. Sorry for the bad news, good luck

Power Loss

Go have your catalytic converter checked ....85% of the time (what you are describing ) the cause is a plugged or partial plugged exhaust system....If memory serves me correctly your vehicle has 2 catalytic converters and the most likely one to fail would be the first one right off the downpipe from manifold....Good Luck

1994 chev. S10 4.3

There is a sensor device, on the right side of the engine block near the front, for the oil pressure that has two parts to it. It is used to control the oil pressure guage on the dash as well as having a switch which has wiring going to the Electronic Control Module, and this ECM input has a software time-out safety feature. After the engine is started, if the indicated oil pressure goes too low or is lost, the voltage to the fuel pump is shut off. This is desired in the case of a crash. This event will cause the engine to quit. On my manual transmission vehicle the ECM will reset if the ignition is turned off for a couple of seconds. It sounds like this oil pressure (aka sending unit) sensor is not working properly, causing the fuel pump power to be removed.....(probably intermittently). About $20 and a few minutes to change if you can get your hands down in there.
