My whole dash went out on my 2002 gmc envoy all the gauges arent working i checked fuses under the hood they seemed fine. Any advice for these problems?

Does it light up ? When you turn the key on do the warning lights come on ? Check engine , oil , abs , air bag etc... just gauges not working ? Does the vehicle start an run ? THE PROBLEM IS THE DASH LIGHT DIMMER CONTROL IS EITHER TURNED OFF OR THE DIMMER IS DEFECTIVE, HAVE SEEN BOTH. THE DIMMER IS NEXT TO THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH

SOURCE: I got 98 GMC Envoy there no power to A/C fan control, 4x4 switch, temperature gauge and fuse gauge,I'm try to sawp the fuse and relay under the hood and check under dash fusebox alls fuse ok but

should have 10 amp fuse and relay for engine cooling fan and you should have 10 amp ignition fuse and AC RELAY.

Try actually replacing the instrument panel fuse. Sometimes the open link is very small and hard to see. If this doesn't work try and find the instrument cluster connector and make sure that it is tight. Sometimes over time, if it wasn't latched all the way, it can work loose especially if there have been some wide temperature fluctuations where you are.

Sounds like no power to the brake light switch. The brake switch controls the shift lock solenoid.

look at main fuse under hood if it pops it will shut the hole car down check the battey or hook a battery charger on it 2 to 4 amps then see what u get
