blower motors are normally located under dash on passenger side behind glove box very simple procedure unbolt panel cover locate blower remove bolts and reverse for install in other vehicles under hood on firewall passenger side
I'd test for power at motor itself, in behind glove box under dash. From there is goes back to blower motor resistor located under the hood behind shock tower on passenger side on firewall, and then back to control at dash. Not uncommon for the resistor to go, and leave you with either just high speed or nothing at all.
it's under the hood on the passenger side. It's basically behind your glove box but you access it under the hood. It's covered by a black plastic shroud that says something like "Blower motor service cut here". Hope that helps you.
On my 1998 GMC Jimmy it is under the hood on passenger side on firewall behind the PCM (black box) which is mounted on top of coolant overflow bottle. You'll have to remove these two items for better access or at least the PCM. Then you have to cut the moulding on the blower motor housing. You should see a groove already formed all the way around the housing and this is where you have to cut. Just don't cut all the way as you have to reseal it with caulk once you are done installing new motor.
Resistor gone for blower. Not sure where yours would be, can't seem to find info I need. Common locations, in under dash on passenger side near blower motor, under hood on firewall , passenger side under cowl. Behind glove box.
Thanks! I replaced the blower and repaired the corroded wires to fix the 3 windows and locks not working. Very productive day! Now I can focus on the little things!
