In Civic 2021, it is one of the important sensors of EFI engines. It is a sensor that measures the air flow drawn into the engine, converts the drawn air flow into an electrical signal and sends it to the electronic control unit as one of the important signals for determining fuel injection.

SOURCE: my car doesnt accelerate properly as it hits 20mph

run it without the air filter and see if it makes a difference. does it shake? missfire? any DTC's(diagnostic trouble codes), Check engine light on? Does it do the same thing when in park and pressing on the gas gently? Does it bog down? It can be as simple as the air filter. The other thing that comes to mind is the intake manifold gasket. Try spraying some starter fluid around the intake manifold(car on) and see if the car stalls or shakes.(do this step with engine started from cold for your safety)

08 MKZ shut down after I left the igniton switch in the on position. Could not get to start. Had to jumpr star ***. Is there a way to get the computer to allow the car to be key started?

Hi Ace, I suggest having the battery checked and replaced if its found to be faulty, because that's what your problem sounds like to me. I think that maybe the ignition being left on was coincidence. Regards John

Hesitates and bucks while going up inclines? Not all the time but frequently. Checked all the plugs and they are good. New fuel filter, still no help. Also have bad erg air flow?

check and clean maff sensor and iat sensor with maff sensor spray, this should fix this problem. what causes this is dust and dirt get on these sensors, make sure air filter is clean. you can buy the maff sensor spray at any auto parts store. follow directions on can. good luck! if it still is bad after cleaning. replace (IAT) sensor, the IAT sensor is in hose from ait filter box. (intake air tempurature sensor)

My '99 malibu is having a tranny problem... it slips from take-off, and when on the hghway, it feels like a slight bucking while it's tryng to shift. also, I just put a brand new starter in, but it still...

I have a 2000 malibu, and when i had the same problem, i bought a can of maff sensor spray from the auto parts store. I took off maff sensor and sprayed it to clean it, and I also cleaned the intake air sensor in hose from air filter. make sure air filter is clean, because if it is dirty the maff sensor will pick up dirt particles. read and follow directions on can. if need be replace iat sensor for it is under 20.00 for malibu. I did this and it runs like a charm. good luck!! my car has 75,000 miles on it.

OBD2 code P0171 MAF sensor too lean (98 Saab 900 SE Turbo)

The maf sensor is either dirty, or needs replacing. Try cleaning it first.
Disconnect the black tube from the air filter housing, and the sensor housing, there should be a thin wire going across inside, get a can of air intake cleaner (at any auto parts store) and spray it in there, be very careful when you wipe that wire off. wipe off any excess cleaner inside.
If the same problem still exists, change the sensor.
