Not sure what engine you have in your car but the upper radiator hose connects to the thermostat housing. To access/replace the thermostat, drain the radiator using the butterfly valve on the bottom of the radiator. Then disconnect the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing. Last take the 2 bolts off holding the housing in place. (See pic) and replace the thermostat.
Put it all back together and don't forget get to fill the radiator back up with new coolant 50/50 blend.
Follow hose from radiator to engine thats where it is, remove outlet housing two bolts
