Rodeo or Rodeo sport?
all park lites car, front rear sides,????? do interior lights stick on,
license plate lamp on????????????????????? if yes park relay.
a real mech, sees all this at get go and country,
first off parks never go off keyoff
its a safety law, that lights work key off see, like you are stalled and stranded and dont want folks to hit your car in the dark.
but, are you in canada, we are a uSA forum and we dont have
the DRL mandate here, like canada, and that works different, and does like to fail.
DRL is Day light running lamps.
does the hand brake turn them off, and put transmission in park
does car have stick or auto trans, we cant guess that either.
2002 Rodeo in some country unknown, nor drive line or DRL options known.
The one way to diagnose this is pull head or park relays
or pull the DRL module, (oops burned pins there, seen 100s)
why not answer if car runs daytime lights on.??????
on our USA car, it has a Tail light relay, marked that way
and can stick on (TAIL means park, )
the word tail is 1920s name for when cars had 1 tail lamp in rear.
today, some have over 20 lamps. 8 outside and more inside, called illumination.
dash fuse CB 4 fuse kills power, CB means cab.

that is it for non DRL cars Rodeo.
tell more get more,
country
and if DRL.
and WIN !

This could be caused by a number of things. Does the car have security.? Do the lights go out after a period of time? Some vehicles have a Sensor to turn the lights on and off. Some vehicles are equipped with daytime running lights. I do not think the latter is the problem. It could just be a problem with the light switch. Please comment and let us know if the lights stay or go off after a period of time

The low oil pressure warning lamp will illuminate anytime the ignition switch is turned to the ON position without the engine running. When the engine is running, the light also illuminates if the engine oil pressure drops below a safe oil pressure level. To test the system, perform the following:
If the oil pressure light does not work, perform the following:
  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. If the lamp does not light, check for a broken or disconnected wire around the engine and oil pressure sending unit switch.
  3. If the wire at the connector checks out OK, pull the connector loose from the switch and, with a jumper wire, ground the connector to the engine.
  4. With the ignition switch turned to the ON position, check the warning lamp. If the lamp lights, make sure the oil pressure switch is properly grounded in the cylinder block, and if so replace the oil pressure switch. If the lamp still fails to light, check for a burned out lamp or disconnected socket in the instrument cluster.
To diagnose an oil pressure light that stays on, perform the following:
  1. Check the engine oil level and top off as necessary. If the engine was 2 or more quarts low on oil, test start the engine after topping off the oil level and recheck the oil pressure light operation. If the light stays on, stop the engine immediately and go to the next step.
  2. Disconnect the wire at the sending unit, then turn the ignition switch to theON position. If the light remains on, check the wire from the sending unit to the gauge for being shorted to ground and repair as necessary. If the light goes out, turn the ignition switch OFF and go to the next step.
  3. Replace the oil pressure sending switch with a known good switch.
  4. Start the engine and check the oil pressure light operation. If the light stays on with the engine running, stop the engine immediately to avoid severe engine damage until the cause of the problem can be determined.

WARNING
If the oil pressure light remains on while the engine is started, stop the engine immediately. Do not operate the engine until the cause of the problem can be determined. Operating an engine with low oil pressure will cause severe internal damage.

Possible causes for an oil pressure light to stay on are:

Pinched or grounded sensor wireDefective oil pressure sending unitRestricted or severely leaking oil filterExcessive internal engine bearing clearance.Insufficient or severely contaminated engine oilBlocked oil pump pickup screen or severely worn oil pump

My 2006 Chrysler 300 anti theft light is on and my and the rest of the lights on the dash I can't turn the car all the way off or even turn the engin over what do I do please

Good Morning Thomas:
Sounds like an ignition switch problem. Your key has a chip in it or is supposed to, and your ignition switch has a sensor in it that can recognize the chip. If you do not get a match the theft light will stay on. Not bing able to turn the ignitions switch all the way off sounds like the shifting linkage my be out of alignment or the car is no in park. Some times I try to turn off my engine while I am still in reverse. Usually placing the car in park solves this problem (sorry, I am sure you checked that, but just saying). If you have a spare key with the chip you know like your wife's set try that key and if the problem continues I would spend the money and have the dealer look at it. On the other hand changing out the ignition switch is not that hare if you have the correct key and a punch pin ( a paper clip might work but I be leave in buying the correct tools). With the car in park and the engine off you turn the switch to the run position without engaging the starter then push in that pin and the ignition will come right out. There is probably a plug on it for the sensor. You can then replace it with a new matching ignition and key. But remember the new key will not fit your door.
Best of luck

2000 gmc sierra dash lights and running lights remain on after

It seems you have a sort circuit in the wiring or the switch......

normally you have 2 types of shorts, 1 is to earth and this causes the fuse to blow, indicating a fault and preventing a fire.

The second one is a short to power, where the circuit remains on, despite the switch being turned off.

I would suggest that the park light switch is shorting out.

If you are not familiar with electronics, I would prefer you seek an auto electrician to do the job.

2006 Chevrolet Uplander Parking Lights Stay On

My 2006 Uplander would not shut off the parking lights. I came here for a solution. I saw the answer here, actually the question, and I used the key fob to lock the vehicle. The lights went off. That was a temporary solve. Now, is this a "glitch" or a "feature"?

Running light go out but parking lights remain on in 2001 corolla

My '00 Subaru has a separate switch on the steering column for the parking lights, I never use it, but the lights will stay on with the key off. Look for a separate switch. If you find one ask the dealer for your $ back
