Brake lights work.. It is most likely the solenoid that releases the shifter. The shifter has to be replaced. Some times it is a bad wire to the solenoid. Either way, the console has to come out to check the wire or replace the shifter.

Chrysler Pacifica 2006 no headlights, or wipers and car locks in park

Most likely a corrosion problem in the integrated power module. It's a known failure item. Pretty hard to diagnose without a scan tool and not a DIY fix

I have a 2006 pacifica that the shifter will not move out of park. when I push on the brake I can hear like a relay sound inside the console but the shifter will not move from park. Also my check engine...

Hi Mitch:
Sounds as if you have several problems. I'll try some ideas for you to consider.
SHIFTER LOCKED- Will engine start? Try starting engine, press on brake pedal, gently turn steering back and forth while trying to move shifter.
MISFIRE # 6 - Check wiring components. Spark plug tired, plug lead wire mar be shorting out.

I have a 2006 pacifica. I have no brake lights (left right). When I press the brake pedal, I hear a click sound coming from under the shifter area. Weird?

No not weird that clicking sound is your shift lock it's supposed to make that sound first check
Brake light fuse if that is good check brake light switch witch is mounted under the dash above the brake pedal somtimes they can unadjust them selves and the switch doesn't hit the pedal or it is just bad and if that's not the problem it's the module that you will have to take to a repair shop

Why are the wheels locked on Jeep ? Won't even roll in Neutral!

so you did get the key to move enough and brakes on to move the shifter to neutral.
are you an the arctic circle, (i have a buddy there,) pop 100.
hand brake off,
park dis-engaged, neutral
if it dont move the brakes are locked
or one axle bearing is seized.
so jack up each wheel 1 by 1, and see if it turns
on flat ground, and other wheels chocked so car can not roll.
i bet all 4 can spin,
and you just can push this heavy pig. i can barely do my wrangler.
you tried to hand push a car?
lets work no starts

does it crank over in park/?
does the engine crank fast , while in the start position?
my guess is the park lock out is fooling you.
most cars the park lock up is complex now.
its really in park not neutral.
and the reason , blown fuse. my guess.
tell all that works key, on in details
head lights, not just my lights work say HEAD
they draw like 10 amps of current, about 100x more that other lights.

even better
does engines start with jumper cables, jumped from a running car.
donor car.
can AAA start car?
if yes, post that first. all else is effect not cause.

Fix pacifica stuck in park

Are you parked on a significant incline? You may need to have your car CAREFULLY pushed slightly uphill by another vehicle while moving the shift lever. Not on a hill or a light uphill push doesn't help? Check to see if your brake lights are working. If your brake lights do not come on when you depress the pedal, your brake light switch or brake light circuit fuse may be the culprit, as that is where the release solenoid for your gear shift receives its power. Correct the brake light circuit issue and your problem will be cleared.
If your brake lights are working correctly, listen for a light click at the gear shift lever when you depress the brake. If you don't hear one, suspect the locking solenoid is jammed (can usually be corrected with a shot of oil, once you get to it).
Another possibility is that the shift linkage has jammed. Check the linkage for broken parts. It is also possible that the "parking pin" in your transmission has become jammed, especially if the car was run into while parked. If that is the case, you'll need to have the park pin replaced.

My Chrysler Pacifica(2004) doesn't seem to

when a car does not start in park or stay in park that is your neutral safety switch on the transmission. the latch can be the lock actuator.

My pacifica is stuck in park

1st question, do the brake lights work? The systems lock out solenoid gets power from the bake light circuit, so you can't shift out of park unless the brake pedal are pressed, it senses this through the brake light switch.

Chrysler pacifica is stuck in park

Your vehicle has a brake shift interlock which prevents the vehicle from being moved out of park unless the brake pedal is pressed. I'm sure you know this. If however you have an electrical problem or your computer detects a transmission problem it will prevent you from getting it out of park. I also think (but not 100% sure) that if you have a brake light out that it will prevent you from getting out of park as well. I would check my fuses to start with. There is an over ride and I have posted that below for you so you can at least get it into a gear and drive it until you get the problem fixed. I hope this helps and good luck.

2006 Chrysler Pacifica- Will not shift out of Park, the steering wheel isn't locked, and the brake is releasing as it should. What else could it be?

Can't get out Park, starts ok, tried the manuel thing pressing
the pink release button, nothing. Had the car towed but
they had to hoist it on a truck. Was there a recall for this?

2006 Pacifica emergency brake problem.

The only manual adjustment for the parking brake on these is at the shoes themselves. Procedure for that is as follows:

1) Place parking brake lever in "full released" position.
2) Raise and support vehicle.
3) Remove plug in parking brake shoe support to access adjuster star-wheel.
NOTE: Through the access hole, rotate the adjuster wheel in the following direction to expand the shoes outward against the drum.
Left brake--Rotate star wheel toward rear of vehicle.
Right brake--Rotate star wheel toward front of vehicle.
4)Using an appropriate tool, turn adjuster star wheel until wheel will not rotate (dead lock).
5) Back off adjuster six detents (teeth).
6) Rotate wheel, checking for light drag. If drag is too heavy, continue to back of adjuster one detent at a time until light drag is present. Do not back off star-wheel more than 17 detents from wheel lock.
7) Install access plug.
8) Adjust opposite wheel parking brake shoes using same method.
9) Lower Vehicle.
10) Apply and release parking brake lever once to ensure proper operation of parking brakes.

These directions are directly from 2006 Pacifica factory service manual.
