Hello Sharla,
Abs problems will only show up when the tires are slipping when the brakes are applied such as on ice or rainwater on the road and will often sound like a crunching sound inside the vehicle as the abs system pulse the braking system. There is no other symptoms when the tires are not slipping. If your vehicle is not stopping otherwise then you will need to have the brakes serviced, or have new tires installed if there is not much treads left on the tires!

Good Luck!

I had to replace brake lines from the master cylinder to the abs module. I'm having trouble bleeding the system now. What do I need to do?

the brake system has to bled using the normal bleeding procedure starting at the longest line
the brakes work through the abs al the time and the abs is only a pump to maintain pressure if a wheel stops turning instead of having to pump the brakes when the stopped wheel brake fluid is returned to the reservoir.

How to turn off abs light? Peugeot 306 cabrio

Nice try but all ABS brake systems are designed to disable, and work manually if a fault is detected. The reason for this is safety.
Scenario: A left front sensor stops working, the computer sets a code, but the ABS still works. A situation arises that involves hard braking, the vehicle starts to skid, and the ABS activates. Since all the wheels are in a lock up situation the ABS cycles to pulse the brakes. The left front can not pulse because the sensor is malfunctioning. Three brakes pulse, the left front does not, the vehicle pulls hard left into oncoming traffic and a serious accident results with fatalities.
The problem can be as simple as a sensor out of adjustment or a dirty sensor. A lot of brakes are bimetallic and the wheel sensors use magnets. Brake dust can be drawn to the sensor. This will cause a malfunction and a code.
Get an estimate, get it repaired, add the cost to the selling price, and don't be another--"shove it off on Mary as long as it sells". ABS has been on the market a long time and operates different than standard brakes. Mary might not know this, hit the brakes too hard, and skid through an intersection. You survive but Mary doesn't. This is sometimes called cause and effect. Although the instigator

What causes brakes judder

Unplug the harness plug to the ABS module under the hood and see if shuddering stops. You will still have an ABS light on the dash but it should not effect normal braking. If shuddering stops the ABS module is bad, also check for any kinked brake lines resulting from accident. Be careful when working with brakes, no excessive speed and be ready to apply hand brake.

My abs light stays on all the time, front brakes are brand new

ABS is short for anti-lock braking system. This is a separate system from your hydraulic brakes.
The abs light means the system has a problem and it is disabled until you fix it. The regular brakes still work as you know.
Someone needs to scan the computer for ABS trouble codes and go from there.

Abs light on

ur brakes will work fine when abs system goes bad what changes is that the brakes will lock up when pressed hard and can cause skidding when abs lght pops on usually means a sensor problem look behind wheel and check connections and wire for damage or partial disconnect sometimes debris can cause damage to the wiring if looks good than have truck scanned and use the trouble code to pinpoint the trouble location most auto stores will offer to scan vehicles for free check ur local area

Hi, I'm from Armenia. Pls, tell me, why while I am driving on a flat road ABS on and brake pedal starts to vibrate

you did not state what kind of car this is. so i will give you a brief explanation of how the ABS system works on most cars, their is a ABS computer that receives input from wheel sensors, (all four whells have a speed sensor ) and as you step on the brake pedal the computer keeps checking the speed sensors to see if any of them stop turning wile braking if this happens the computer thinks that the sensor that just sent the signal that it stopped turning must have locked up so when the computer sees this it takes over the braking of the car and it will release and reapply the brakes about 100 times a second to keep the car from locking the brakes and skidding out of control. what you are feeling is this system coming on line because it thinks a wheel just locked up, the most common problem when this happens is one of the wheel sensors is going bad.the ABS computer has the ability to remember what caused it to do this and if you can get someone to pull the trouble codes from the ABS computer it will tell you witch sensor is causing the problem.

What are probable causes for an ABS warning light to come on even though brakes feel normal?

you have a trouble code stored in the system and youll have to someone hook up a code reader to retrieve the codes to diagnose the problem, the brakes wont be affected unless you were involved in a vehicle skid and the abs wouldnt engage

I have a 2005 chevy equinox i replace the front rotors and brakes now when you come to a stop the car sounds like the abs system is kicking in

check the connections on the abs, behind the rotor by strut is the connection for the abs if the connector is loose or not properly affixed to the clip it sets off the abs trouble code or low speed saftey usually activates at slow speed under 5 miles an hour the connector and clip are part of the abs circuit--also recheck ur brake pads for binding and brake fluid level --if u get a trouble code have vehicle scanned some auo stores such as auto zone / advanced auto scan for free this will tell u which sensor or unit is causing problem

Abs light is on

youre car needs to have an abs diagnostic work up done on it to get a trouble code and to go futher with a repair. on a cutlass the brakes will feel fine with the abs light on but they will not divert brake pressure in the event of a panic stop thus causing a wheel to skid.
good luck. chris
