Definitely a cylinder #5 misfire. Did you reset the computer error log by disconnecting the battery for several minutes, then reconnecting?
If so, the problem could very well be in the electronic distributor. Check for dirt, arcing, cracks, etc.

2004 Sorento began with code P0305, cyl #5 misfire. Inspected and replaced plugs, wires, and coil pack on cyl #2. Repair shop told me cyl #5 injector bad so they replaced. Still has misfire.I suggeste

If you had code P0305, I don't know why they would have done anything to the #2 cylinder but if they have already replaced the plugs, wires and injector; here are a few more items to check:
1) Check connections from ECM. Look for any corrosions or bent/broken pins.
2) Check the fuel line pressure
3) Check the engine compression
4) And if the above are good, then you will probably have a defective ECM

1996 explorer 6 cyl getting a p0305 code

cylinder no. 5 misfire detected. Check the spark plug, the spark plug wire, the fuel injector, The fuel injector o-ring (if the o-ring is bad, no compression). You can swap the spark plug or wire with a good cylinder and if the problem moves over then you've found your problem. Same rule with the injector.

Dodge obd code p0305

The DTC (Data Trouble Code) P0305 is the generic OBD-II DTC for "Cylinder 5 Mis-fire Detected", and it means that the OBD-II control unit has detected a problem with the #5 cylinder.

The problem could be a faulty spark plug, or a spark plug wire for the #5 cylinder, or the coil for that cylinder could be faulty (2.7 liter), or the distributor or distributor cap could be faulty (3.0 liter), or the fuel injector for the #5 cylinder could be faulty.

Before you look for any electrical problems causing the mis-fire on the #5 cylinder, first do a compression check to be certain that the mis-fire is not caused by a mechanical problem.

Here are the firing order diagrams for the 2.7 and the 3.0 liter enginesto help assist you.

Sounds like either a bad plug wire, or coil pack. This is about all that would cause the misfire.
