Can you fix a ignition that has locked in a 2005 Honda Civic 2 door coupe for cheaper than 500 hundred dollars?

Hello Renee,

The ignition switch for the civic is expensive. Auto Zone shows a new replacement ignition switch for a 2005 Honda Civic DX 1.7L MFI SOHC 4cyl listed at 455.99. This part also fits 21 other 1.7L MFI SOHC 4cyl Civic Models.

If you can find a low mileage Civic at the wreaking yard with the same switch as your model, that would save you money, but of course if one key is currently used for the door and ignition switch... you would have two keys after swapping out the switch. The old one for the door lock and the new (used) one for the ignition.

I can't recall as its been a while since I've worked on the older Civics, but there may be 2 bulbs in the cluster. They are not that hard to pop out and have a look.

My turn signals are not working but my emergency light is working fine. Honda civic 2005

you need a new turn signal flasher.. it will most likely be round, with 3 prongs on it under the dash, or you could go to a parts store to pick one up, and they could probably show you exactly where it it.
