Not all power steering systems are hydraulic. I think some G6 models have electronic power steering so no fluid is needed. Referring to the owners manual it appears that only the 3.9L uses a hydraulic system. If there is a reservoir it will either be tucked behind the alternator or mounted on that end of the engine. The top mounted reservoir filler cap is on top of the engine to the left of the oil filler cap.
The power steering reservoir (I believe) is on the drivers side just behind the headlight. about mid-way down the side of the reservoir are a high and low mark. The reservoir should be just at or below the high mark when the vehicle is off. ONLY USE HONDA POWER STEERING FLUID. There are certain conditioners and additives in the Honda fluid that keep seals in the system in good condition. Using a generic/aftermarket fluid will cause the seals to shrink and the system will likely develop leaks.
There should be a resivoir near the front of the engine, generally on the drivers side. The cap usually has some raised lettering telling you that it is intended for steering fluid only. Hope this helps.
Hi:
Your power steering system has a couple major parts:
1) The power steering pump is mounted to the engine, and is driven by the serpentine belt. It also has a power steering fluid reservoir to store the power steering fluid.
2) The second part is the power steering rack and pinion unit. It is located low, center, behind the engine and is what your steering wheel connects to. It is also what the two hoses from your power steering pump connect to as well.
power steering reservoir is on power steering pump mounted to front of engine, just behind the belt driven steering pump pulley.look for two 'ears' on top, turn counter-clockwise to remove cap.
Caution on what to put in the LX470 automatic height adjustment system. Dealer said unless correct fluid is put in the system the seals may fail. Specifically warned against break fluid. Cost to repair is over $3,000. I bought a can of the fluid at the Lexus dealer for about $26. The can was approx. 1/2 gallon.
