My 2008 hummer h3 got C0136 Base brake system pressure circuit error on DTC and displays waning Traction off, Service stab sys. Whats the exact problem and any part to be replaced?

DTC C0136: Base Brake System Pressure Circuit
The electronic brake control module (EBCM) monitors an internal input from the master cylinder pressure sensor to enhance antilock brake system (ABS) braking and vehicle stability if equipped.

Conditions for Setting the DTC
• When vehicle speed is more than 7 km/h (4 mph), the master cylinder pressure does not change for 30 seconds with the brake applied.
• When vehicle speed is more than 10 km/h (6 mph), the master cylinder pressure signal is erratic.
• Master cylinder pressure signal is out of range.
• Master cylinder pressure is high for 5 seconds with the stop lamp switch signal OFF.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets
• The EBCM disables traction control system (TCS) and vehicle stability enhancement system (VSES) for the duration of the ignition cycle.
• A DIC message and/or a warning indicator may be displayed.

Diagnostic Aids
The master cylinder pressure sensor is located internally in the Master Cylinder and is not serviceable.

Circuit/System Verification
Important: It is recommend that the defective components be replaced, and not the complete brake master cylinder assembly.
Verify that DTCs C0131, P0719, P0724 are not set.
? If any of the DTCs are set, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle.
Replace the EBCM.
Repair Instructions
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the diagnostic procedure.
Control Module References for EBCM and BPMV replacement, setup, and programming

Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop.

H3 2009 has Traction Failed Service Stab system warning up. my mechanic doesn't know if its a sensor problem or complete master cylinder??? Help

The mechanic should test feed/ground/signal and voltage drop for the sensor circuit and the sensor on a scope to know if it is the sensor/wiring or other .

HI,can a car who has fault service stab sys traction failed abs shown on their vehicle continue to drive it or does it need to be fixed as soon as possible. thank you for your reply

You can still drive it but the ride and safety will be affected. I recommend you get vehicle fixed at earliest as can. The vehicle will skid if hit brakes hard. Stability will also be affected

Fault service stab sys traction failed abs is what my h3 has been showing. can you help me figure whats wrong and how much it would cost to fix. thank you

It has to be on a scanner to see what is wrong. Could be a bad wheel sensor. Could be a broken wire at a wheel sensor. Could be the ABS module died. Garage costs. Broken wire (2hour minimum) $200, sensor up to $400+, module$1000+

How do i service Stabilitrak on a 2008 Hummerh2 sut

SERVICE STAB SYS fault Message The IPC displays the traction fault message when either of the following instances occur:
?€¢
The EBCM detects a malfunction that requires VSES to be disabled. The EBCM sends a serial data message to the IPC requesting that the message be displayed.

?€¢
The IPC detects a loss of serial data communication with the EBCM.
With out a factory scan tool your not going to be able to do anything with This . Save yourself some money an aggravation , take this to the dealer if you don't know what a serial data communication network is ! An I'm sure there are codes stored in the EBCM !
