Why Is my Car Smoking White Smoke from the Exhaust
Blown Head Gasket Symptoms and Repair Costs
It's not missing any coolant really. It's used very, very little coolant at all since I had the coolant leak it had before fixed.
It is using tons of oil though, I have put 4 quarts in it this week and it's still low.
Daniel, if going through that much oil, probable internal engine issue, piston/rings/valves, oil will fowl plugs causing miss and normally whitish blue smoke. If oil smells like it has gas in it, could be injectors faulty, flooding fuel into crank case, thinning oil allowing it to be burnt easily also. Regardless, would not continue to drive, have a good technician or your Dad have a look.

SOURCE: white smoke and a smell of fuel
The white smoke is from anti freeze. The smell of gas in your oil is probably from the same cause. I do beleive you did not clean the milled ares good enough before installing one or both of your gaskets. Just in case you did loosen one of the head bolts up for any reason....One bolt I do beleive on the right front bank of this engine has to be also sealed before re enstalling it for coolant will pass through it if not sealed
SOURCE: car is hard to start, keeps stalling, white smoke coming out of tail pipe
It sounds to me like you have a head gasket leaking. See if you can get a gauge and check each cylinder. Are you using alot of anti freeze?
SOURCE: car runs ruff. Smoke and gas smell out of tailpipe.
chk the trans vacuum modulator. If oil is present in vacuum linem the modulator is defective. Easy inexpensive fix.
SOURCE: smoke from engine
Is the smoke white or blue? If white means that you have a leak of water or antifrezze into the combustion chamber. If blue, replace PCV valve, and air filter.

Don't think it's a head gasket because it's not missing coolant. Been using a lot of oil but I figured that was because it needs new valve cover gaskets. My dad works on cars for a living and said maybe an EGR valve or piston ring?
Daniel OOps I mean Danielle, if going through that much oil, probable internal engine issue, piston/rings/valves, oil will fowl plugs causing miss and normally whitish blue smoke. If oil smells like it has gas in it, could be injectors faulty, flooding fuel into crank case, thinning oil allowing it to be burnt easily also. It's Danielle, I'm a girl so it's not Daniel, lol. But the oil doesn't seem to smell weird, it's just low no matter how much I put in it. My dad isn't being much help so I'm trying to find someone else to look at it. The valve cover gaskets need replaced but my dad did say that wouldn't cause that much oil loss. It seems to start smoking worse every time I put oil in it.
Sorry Danielle, for misspell, please do try to find somebody with knowledge to have a look. A compression leak down test can probably answer a lot of questions on where the oil is going. Have a good day.
