SOURCE: crankshaft position sensor location

Hello. One way to check if it is working is when you try to start the car does the needle move on you tac? If not then your crank sensor is more then likely the problem. It is located on the backside of the engine under the intake manifold. If is in about the center of the block. There will be a 10mm bolt holding the sensor in. If you decide to change it yourself (not to terrible of a job) unplug the sensor, remove the bolt and spin it back and forth slightly while pulling it out. It may be stoburn and you might have to work at it for a little bit (not a done of room) but it will come. When it's out the sensor will be shaped kind of like an L. I have changed a few of these over time and they can be a little stoburn. To install just reverse the process.

SOURCE: CANNOT FIND THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR

cerebral_eni: The crank position sensor is located at the back of the engine block just below the cylinder head. It actually projects into the bell housing and reads the teeth on the flywheel where it references TDC for #1 cyl and RPM's of the crank. It's a "Hall effects generator". Unless you are into electronics and have a lab scope to look for a square wave pattern, I will continue with my other input.
Nissan has a recall campaign on the crank angle sensors.
The campaign # is 07V527000:ECM update for stalling;
NHTSA07V527000 NOV 07,
The symptom was brief malfunction of sensor causing the engine to quit running which could potentially put the vehicle at risk for a collision. The sensors would ultimately fail. There was also a voluntary recall on the reprogramming of the ECM's due to stalling problems. TSB# NTB07-081, Campaign ID#R0712
I hope this information is of some assistance to you. You may be able you get your car repaired under warranty! Good Luck!

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to model category.

It should be the same as the IS350. Many of the search answers are showing Camshaft as opposed to Crankshaft.

Crankshaft positioning sensor where is it onto? 2.0.

Impossible to tell you.

All questions in Cars and Trucks category need 'year make model' as first three words. You can add '2.0' if there are different engine sizes.

And it isn't a 'positioning sensor', it is a 'position sensor'.

You can google it easily

Driver's side rear seat back will not return to upright position. on 2005 Lexus RX330

Possibly the handle, used to position the seat, has internally "stripped out". Take the handle off and inspect the inside splines. If stripped, replace the handle.

I have a 2005 lexus rx330. the odometor stopped working. how do I fix it?

check and see if your cruise control still works your problem probably lays with in a speed sensor you have an output vehicle speed sensor that can cause the problem and i say a vehicle speed sensor because you didnt say anything in reference to having a abs ight on on your dash if you do have that as well you could possibly need a wheel speed sensor as well but i would lean more towards vehicle speed sensor output sensor
