In the master cylinder there a float when level of brake fluid low the brake light come on in the dash gently tap on the master cylinder the float is probably jam at the bottom good luck

You have to have the computer scanned to check for fault codes . When you cancel the codes with the scanner it resets the check engine light. If you don't correct the fault the light will come on again.
