If the alarm went off there is a cause, you have some part that is defective, if it is a factory system then likely it is a defective door ajar switch (5 or 6 in all), the dealer needs to scan for which one it is as long as the problem is occurring while the dealer has the car, otherwise you will need to replace all of them and hope that is the problem. All this assumes this is a factory system not an aftermarket system installed after the vehicle was built. Please rate my assistance as HELPFUL.

I need help getting the serpentine belt on my 2004 Rav 4

SOMETIMES THE DIAGRAM IS ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE HOOD. OR ON THE WHEEL WELLS INSIDE THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. CHECK UNDER THE HOOD ANYWHERE A STICKER COULD BE. IT MIGHT ALSO BE IN THE OWNERS MANUAL.

I have a 1999 Toyota RAV 4. I put the car in park

Keep gently trying while moving the steering wheel and jiggling the shifter. Is the car actually in park. If no luck then to the shop it must go. If you get it out do not put that key back in....get a new one at the dealer made from the vin.
