It sounds you got some bad gas .Were did you buy it do you buy gas often do you know the people .
If it was some small out of the way station that dosen;t sell lots of gas sometimes condensation water ends up in the fuel or ever worse the underground tank is almost empty then all the xxxx at the bottom of that tank ends up in yours ,
Try dry gas but I would drain the tank and change all fuel filters this could do a lot of damage over time to the fuel system .

Have gotten gas there before no troubles. The code it's reading is a theft code lock code but don't understand why it would come on after I already drove it for a half hour turned car off then went to start and nothing

That is a bad key code. The security system is not recognizing that as a valid key. If you haveanother one try Iit. If it works then your key went bad (there is a circuit inside the key head that communicates with the car). If it doesn't work or you don't have another key then you may have to get a locksmith or the dealer to look at it. You can try programming a new key. Anyone who sells those keys can tell you how to program it to the car.

SOURCE: car won't start

Your fuel pump is sticking and not pumping, this is common if you run the fuel down to less than 1/4 full, the fuel pump needs the gas to cool itself, below a 1/4 tank the pump is not getting cooled and after repeatably running low on fuel it overheats and fails. Running the car near 1/2 tank extends the pump life to many years more than running tank below a 1/4 full..

SOURCE: Chevy monte carlo won't start????

sounds to me like your coil packed it in or your timing belt ( chain ) has jumped a tooth. If you have access to a scanner run a diagnostic check on your car to see if it comes up with any trouble codes.

SOURCE: 1999 volvo v70 xc gas tank

Option 1 the easiest way is to jump the fuel pump relay with the fuel feed line at the engine disconnected from the engine and connected to some sort of catch basin (bucket, gas can, etc.) this allows you to use the vehicles fuel pump to drain the fuel. All you have to do is find the fuel pump relay, then jump the positive side (key off) to power to make the fuel pump run, use that to pump all the bad fuel out.

Option 2 is to remove the filler neck and check valve from the tank (a real pain on that car)

Option 3 is to remove and drain the tank... this is the most costly and time consuming option as the alldata labor guide quotes 8 hours labor time.. so i would advise option 1

As for damage to the vehicle/engine that is always possible with a contaminated fuel, my advice would be just to get the bad fuel out as soon as possible, get good gas in it and give it a try.

You need to have your engine flushed and cleaned out. One or more of your spark plugs aint firing. You need to replace them all to include the wires as well. If you dont get your engine flushed, you could blow your engine up.

Chevy truck stalled on freeway after buying gas at a speedway station. Was it bad gas or fuel filter/fuel pump problem?

Good question. All you can do is hook a line up to the fuel rail to get some gas so you can inspect it. If the gas looks ok they you probably have either a fuel pump problem or ignition problem.
