How many teperature sensor does geo tracker have

normally one
it is near the thermostat housing and has up to 4 wires attach to the plug
it is used to repot engine coolant temperature to the ECM so that air/fuel mixture can be adjusted and the fans switched on through a relay
don;t confuse it with a coolant temperature sender which has 1 wire and works the temp gauge

I have a 2003 chevy tracker (6 cyl) that has code PO128. What is the problem, thermostat or other?

That means its not meeting the minimum thermostat regulating temp. Its saying that its not warming up.. If it feels like its as hot as usual. Its probably the temp, sensor.
