There could be several reasons why the CD cartridge is not ejecting from your 2003 BMW X5 E53. Here are some steps you can try to get it out and potential causes of the issue:
Check the CD player: First, make sure that the CD player is on and functioning properly. If the player is not working, it may not be able to eject the cartridge. Check the player for any error messages or signs of malfunction.
Press the eject button: Try pressing the eject button on the CD player. If the cartridge is still not ejecting, you may need to try a different method.
Use a thin object: If the eject button is not working, you can try using a thin object, such as a paperclip or needle, to press the eject button. Insert the object into the small hole near the eject button and push gently. This may release the cartridge.
Check the cartridge: If the cartridge is still not ejecting, there may be a problem with the cartridge itself. Check the cartridge for any signs of damage or wear. Make sure that the CDs are properly inserted into the cartridge.
Check the CD player mechanism: If the cartridge is not damaged and the CD player is functioning properly, the issue may be with the CD player mechanism. In this case, you may need to take the car to a mechanic or a BMW dealership for repair.
It's worth noting that some BMW models have a security feature that prevents the CD cartridge from ejecting if the battery has been disconnected or the car has been jump-started. If this is the case, you may need to enter a security code to unlock the CD player before you can eject the cartridge. Check your car's manual for instructions on how to enter the security code.
it could be a problem with the earth wire check the wires from the battery to the shell check and clean them. (locking) engine could be the timing belt is worn and would need to be checked asap. dont run engine until its check any timing problems then it could snap and damage the engine.
Have you tried to manually reset this. Start vehicle Press and hold the odometer button in (button in speedo) intil service into lights up Toggle through using switch on indicator stalk press button on item to reset and the again to confirm
In your car the engine starts this way: a code stored in the remote key is sent wirelessly to the receiver in the receptacle (thru its coil antenna) which sends it to the ECM to activate it; then the starter button sends the command for the actual starting.
In your case the receiver appears to keep the code in memory when it shouldn't. Have it replaced. BTW this has absolutely nothing to do with the ignition coil.
I believe you've pressed the button on the head. The safety button is basically a press button which operates a lease mechanism. There are two safety devises which operate on most modern auto boxes these days. It requires a foot being pressed on the brake pedal and at the same time pressing the button. if either of the operating mechanisms are damaged or worn the lever will not move. You'll have to find out which is damaged and have that repaired. If you'd like to tackle the job yourself let me know and we'll go through it together, but be prepared for a good amount of work and some major furniture dismantling if its the lever!
hi the problem is the sensor which is fitted down low in the front grille or mudshield is probably damaged or has been pulled off completely check to see if there are two wires hanging down inside the undertray thats probably the cause of your trouble just replace the sensor
this could be due to low oil. you need to check your oil level. if it is full i would do an oil change with a bmw filter. there is a difference in filters. the service engine soon light will have to be diagnosed. meaning pull codes to point you in the right direction. great car though. happy holidays
