There is no capacitor on that electric motor. They are not well made and have to be replaced. http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/shop_years/nissan-d21-blower-motor-1991.html

How do you set the timing on a 1991 Nissan pickup truck 2.4 L 4cyclinder D 21

Autozone lists that engine timing at 10 degrees before top dead center with the engine warm and idling at 800 RPM. That is with the transmission in neutral (parking brake on) and all accessories off. It also states timing and idle speed are electronically controlled and non-adjustable.

How do you replace the blower motor on a 1991 nissan pickup? When you go to higher speeds it makes a roaring sound like the blades are hitting something.

I would take the motor loose and if like i am thinking it will have a plastic cage around it and it may be full of stuff. Happened to me one time.

WHEN I TURN ON THE AIR-CONDICTIONER IT SOUNDS LIKE A FAN IS HITTING SOMEWTHING.

Usually when you get a ticking in the blower motor the bearings are going and the fan blade is hitting the shroud it sits in. There is a possibility that a mouse/squirrel found its way into your heater box, I have seen that many times...hope that helps!

Can't get the starter out of a 1991 Nissan pickup.

The second bolt is hidden way up and tucked in near the solenoid. You need to setup a ratchet with extensions/socket (14mm) combination that is just a little longer than the starter motor. If you just can't picture where the bolt is, then go down to the parts store and look at/purchase the replacement starter to see how it mounts up.
There are two bolts for the starter mount and one nut for the main starter power lead. There is one plug for the starter key switch.
Disconnect plug. Loosen lower bolt. Remover upper bolt. Remove lower bolt. Twist starter so you can remove main power cable nut (be sure to have disconnected the battery first!) Pull starter.
