After starting transmission won't move out of park

S Won't start but will sometimes, when it does multiple warning lights stay on and transmission will not move out of park. Wrench light (power train malfunction), engine light (service engine soon), little car skidding (stability control system), and only started twice today The first time it started first try, second time it took a few tries let it run for a while for battery to charge some and turned it off but hasn't started since, tried multiple times (to hot outside to do anything with it). Tried with parking brake on and off, pressed brake pedal on and off no go while running. It sounds like if this is a car with the brake interlock, meaning the car will not shift from park unless the brake is pressed, there is a malfunction there, some are electronic and it may not be getting power to it especially if there are other warning lights on the dash. It would help if you could give more details, like which lights are on. Most cars with a mechanical interlock will have a cable you can adjust either at the brake cable or at the shifter.

there is a harness that feeds the ignition remove your steering wheel cover and you will see about a dozen wires going into a clip that is attached to the back of the steering wheel , those wires give way and are not making contact reach in to the back and pull the harness forward and then try and push each wire back into the clip try this and see if it works it solved my problem basicly it is just a loose wire in the harness,,

SOURCE: theft light blinking/car won!t start

If you have key numbers on the door, you should enter the code, then immediately start the truck. If this does not work contact the dealer for a sequence to reset the alarm.

SOURCE: the car won't start; lights,

Check the starter and the starter relay or fuse. A client of mines car was doing the same thing, it ended up being two issues, the starter not working anymore, and a relay that was bad. If I am not mistaken everything should be labeled in the fuse box under the hood and will tell you where the fuse/ relay is for your vehicle

2004 Honda Odyssey won't start or try to turn

You tried it in neutral but did you take it out of park and force it back into park? Just a suggestion since sometimes the switch that tells it that it is in park needs a bit of a nudge sometimes.

2007 impala won't start sometimes

The most likely problem is a failed safety switch in the transmission. It will only allow the engine to turn over when in "neutral", or "Park". Next time it happens try moving the transmission selector through the full range of travel a couple of times. If this cures the problem, you may need new switch.

Rumbling noise coming from engine compartment.

engine size, etc., I can only make educated guesses, but here goes: You stated "My car will drive, but very slow hardly moving". My first suspicion is that you don't have a transmission problem, but the car is in what Chrysler calls the 'limp-home mode'. This occurs when the computer 'sees' a problem with an engine function or sensor that is serious, but not so bad that the car won't run at all. Limp-home mode allows your car to only operate in second gear so that you won't damage it further by driving normally, but won't leave you stranded either. Is your 'check engine' or 'service engine' light on? If not, check to see that it actually works by turning the key 'on', but not starting the car. All the dash lights should be lit for about 3-5 seconds. No matter what, you need to check your transmission fluid level (on a Crysler, should be checked with the engine running and in gear, NOT park or nuetral). Safety first, make sure someone is holding the brake on - please don't ever trust a 'parking brake' for this. If the fluid level is OK and there's no 'check engine' light you need
to visit a competent transmission shop. Probabably a worn front pump, torque converter, or a hung spool valve in the valve body, none of which is generally fixable at home. If you do have a 'check engine' light on, see a regular mechanic first as there is a mechanical problem probably not related to the transmission. Good Luck!
