I press on the gas pedal on my 2007 Kia optima and nothing happens. The engine is running

If you have drive by wire, It could be the TPS/gas pedal sensor or the vehicle is in limp mode. Have the codes read. If it is cable driven, the cable has popped off the throttle or the cable broke.

I replaced the battery and now my Brake, ABS, VSC trac and VSC off lights are on with a warning sound constantly emitting and the brake pedal does not work. I push it all the way to the floor and nothing...

Chances are a small auxiliary ground wire isn't tight enough. There is usually two grounds to the battery...one for the starter and your system ground, which is usually smaller....Another possibility is a fuseable link or inline fuse if something shorted when changing the battery...more likely a loose ground tho...

I have a 2004 toyota rav4.yesterday the vsc trac light and check engine light came on.the vehicle idles fine but when you depress the gas pedal there is alot of hesitation.

My solution is to get rid of this car immediately!! I had that happen to me. I had my mechanic check it and it was fine about 2 weeks later the car completely died because there is a defect with the 2004 Rav4 2.4l 4cyl. engine. Toyota never recalled this defect and now I am stuck with a car that is worth NOTHING. The top of the engine is put on with a metal/screw that is too soft. It separates and then antifreeze leaks out forcing the car to overheat. There is really no way to fix this besides dropping a new engine. I am stuck without a car and at a total loss. I will NEVER buy a Toyota again. Good luck!

No, your brakes should have a stiff pedal regardless of anything going wrong electrically in the car. You better look for brake fluid leaking out. Try not to let the reservoir run dry while you're looking for the leak, as that will introduce more air into the lines. Let us know what you find and if we can help any further.

VSC Trac off lights on dashboard

I have just had the same problem this morning for the first time and I suspect it is just bad gas. We have had problems with the check engine light in our camaro whenever we bought hi test at the Mobile gas station closest to our home. I would not be surprised if this same gas station is now having water problems with their regular gas which is what we put in our 4runner. Try STP gas treatment first, which is what I am going to do now. When I used this approach with my camaro, the light went out within a few days. Technically, a sensor might have been damaged, but my thinking is that if that sensor is dead, then my fuel/air mixture will get bad enough to notice pretty quick. The TRAC off and VSC off are just extra lights that go on, whenever the check engine light comes on. I'll let you know how it goes.
