I have a 2010 holden captiva petrol 80000ks on the clock it seems to have a whine in the transmission especially in the lower gears what is this thanks

2. REV good, and PRNDL , L is good.
3. Drive fails so it slips in drive, so 1st gear is dead but not in LOW selection.
4. fluid smells burned, or looks like TAR?
