Tail lights stay on while car is off and brake lights do not work,turning signals do work also, it is a 95 geo prizm

in front were the brake is try to c if there is a guage like a small little wire

Yes, it could be. Or you can check your battery. And try adding brake fluid to your master cylinder. That sometimes will cause the brake light to come on. Or check your emergency brake. Hope this helps, James Booth.

1. replace brake light switch
2. Change the light bulbs for the front and rear- right side

look for ur fuse box the fuses are in therehave manual info should tell you where fuse is

its a fuse! the fuse should say tail lights

replace the multifunction switch

Its crazy but my tail lights went out also and I could not afford to have them fixed but I can tell you how I fixed mine. If you pull the cd player out you have to connect the orange wire also called the dimmer switch the wire is solid orange connect it to the red fire wire that you use to power the cd player and everytime you turn on the ignition switch the tail lights will come on but when the switch is off they will go off.
