Air vents in front are not blowing

My air conditioner is working, but the air is not coming out the front vents. I can hear a clicking noise as though the vents are trying to open, but it doesn't happen. The air is then sent to my feet and to the window defrost, but nothing directly at me. The air is cold and I can adjust the speed of the fan.

SOURCE: 200 Jeep Laredo..Air is cold and fan is blowing,

there is a blend door actuator for the laredo and if is bad the air wont come out here is a pic of what it looks like and how to get to it

The single zone heater-A/C system is equipped with a single blend door actuator. The dual zone system has two blend door actuators, one for the driver side blend-air door and one for the passenger side blend-air door.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the glove box from the instrument panel.
  3. Remove the three screws that secure the blend door actuator to the passenger side of the HVAC air distribution housing .
  4. Remove the blend door actuator from the air distribution housing and disconnect the HVAC wire harness connector from the actuator.
  5. Remove the blend door actuator from the vehicle
to instal
  1. Position the blend door actuator into the vehicle.
  2. Install the blend door actuator onto the passenger side of the HVAC air distribution housing . If necessary, rotate the actuator slightly to align the splines on the actuator output shaft with those on the blend door cam .
  3. Install the screws that secure the blend door actuator to the passenger side of the air distribution housing . Tighten the screws to 17 inch lbs. (2 Nm).
  4. Connect the HVAC wire harness connector to the blend door actuator.
  5. Install the glove box into the instrument panel.
  6. Reconnect the negative battery cable.

87 chevy caprice A/C vent not opening

Depends on what is clicking. The engine vac opens blend doors under the dash. It could be one of the vac pots or a blend door is sticking. Normally the hissing noise means you have a leak, but a leak usually does not fix itself.

Circuit unit behind the ac controls

sounds like your blower motor has stopped working check for power going to the blower system if you have power the blower is probably bad the concern is the lack of a fuse blowing or a breaker not cycling you may have a harness problem sometimes a low grade short will heat up wires then melt them together causing a multisystem failure even though a fuse or breaker didn't blow check you harness

2002 Dodge Grand Caravan - A/C blows cold in back, but not in front

Blower motor not working , do you feel an air movement out the front vent's ? ( I just did a self-recharge on my refrigerant ) Too much of a charge can work as not enough of a charge . The back or AUX HVAC system works off the same compressor as the front . The noise you hear is just refrigerant moving through the system . Temp .door actuator maybe . Your best bet ,mite be to take to a qualified repair shop. Doesn't sound like you know about automotive A/C systems . .

1995 GMC pickup. Cold AC will blow through all settings (defrost, front vents and flloor) but warm air will not come out the defrost. You can hear something click in the dash that you assume is some kind...

good work, the clicking noise you hear is the blend door trying to move. this door is what controls the temp. the most common reason is the actuator motor is bad but sometimes the door hinge breaks, this hinge slides into actuator and is used to move the door. you will need to locate it on the heater box by locating the noise and then remove the actuator and see if the hinge is broken, i will try to enclose some picture to help you. good day, hope this helps.johnjohn2_142.jpgjohnjohn2_160.gif
