- Self owned and lifetime depreciation? Lots of variables but basic mathematics
- Leased?
- Rented?
- Stolen? Depends on how far you get.

This light indicates the timing belt is due for replacement either by mileage or age through a computer monitor. The engine will continue to operate normally and you can travel at whatever spped you like. Witout knowing year/make/model..... The average timing belt replacement interval on most vehicles is 7 yr or 160,000 km. You can be asking for trouble on some makes/models if you go much past this recommended interval

Best would be to add a air/fuel meter and see what's going on. O2 sensors, coolant temp sensor, degraded plug/wires, different oil, right foot got heavier.

when did the vehicle last have a major service ? i'd also consider adding a fuel addative , get one that covers the catalytic convertor as well as the injectors,valves etc , this will clear any carbon deposits etc that build up on the sensor points etc,this is particulary important if the vehicle does a lot of stop start journeys, take for a longish drive once the addative is in 50-100 km so that the engine gets to a good working temperature, also at a highish speed not poodling round town etc ,how often do you check the tyre pressures ? wrong pressures can have a major impact on fuel consumption
