One of two places I remember. On the drivers side, left of the steering wheel. You can't really see it, but it is tucked up on top of the dash frame. Three plugs go to it(you can see them). One of the plugs is pink. The only pink plug in the car. The others are black and grey. Next is under the dash on the passenger side. Remove the kick panel. You can see this one. With the same colored plugs.

The BCM is located at the lower left side kick panel
Disconnect the negative battery cable

  1. Release the body control module (BCM) wire harness retainer from the BCM bracket.
  2. Disconnect the BCM electrical connectors from the BCM.
  3. Release the lock tabs and remove the BCM from the BCM bracket
  4. Remove the BCM bracket nuts (2) if required.
  5. Remove the BCM bracket (1) as an assembly if required

SOURCE: Where is the body control module found on a 1997 2

Im not 100% sure about that model but check under the air filter housing before you take it apart you can look to see if it has a wire harness going into the bottom of it.

My sister has a 2000 chevy cavalier b4 the door chime and the interior dome light worked now they both dont, we replaced the bulb and fuse to no avail and I have no clue what's wrong with the chime.

the chime actually is done with the radio. the front drivers door speaker. so if the radio works and the front left speaker works. then more then likely you have a defective door switch. located in the door jam that controls the dome light

No spark on 1987 chevy cavalier

Crank position sensor would be my guess.
Its located the center, rear engine area, mounted in the block below the ignition coil pack and DIS module. My guess is that's your culprit.

Dome light isnt working

The courtesy lights are controlled by the BCM/body control module, it can be tested for faults as well as active tests of the systems it controls, which is just about everything except the eng and trans.
