check your owners manual for a fuel pump shut off switch if it has one, reset it, check for a blown fuse for the fuel pump, if that dosent work, check to make sure no wires got pinched in the bell housing between motor and transmisson.
I had the same problem . on my 2002 silverado it turned to be the fuel pump failed because the fuel filter was clogged. I did the work myself could saved myself 219.00 and labor if I replaced a 7.00 $ Filter .
I could bet wrong, but check this out. if the security system its failing, it can turn off you fuel pump. Or the signal to start injectors. Read up on this link. It explains all about it. Symptoms. Trouble shooting. Do it yourself solutions. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/
theres nothing wrong with the fuel pump..did you test the mass air floww sensor or have the egr valve replaced..it will save you trouble from keeping your 2002 nissan altima from dying out.
Turn the key forward and listen for the fuel pump to prime. It should sound like a low humming noise comming from the fuel tank area. If you don't hear anything. . . it's most likely your fuel pump or possibly the fuel pump relay.
Sounds like a fuel problem, Bad fuel pump relay of actual fuel pump check relay first may be working intermittently.( Replace relay first before going to pump). Good luck thanks for using FIX YA
