What about it ? PATS - passive anti-theft system . There is nothing that you will be able to do > Have it towed to the ford dealer or have a locksmith come by . These ford PATS system need special tools to diagnose them . If someone were to mess with it , not knowing ,well it could make your vehicle useless . Or cost you a lot of money . So do yourself an take it the dealer .

2007 FORD EXPeDITION RADIO WIRING COLORS

Question edited for clarity and bad spelling of 'Expedition'.
Question moved to model category.
Quit typing in all CAPS, it is considered SHOUTING and RUDE. It is also harder to read!

This seldom works, and the reason is because the radio system and steering wheel controls are monitored and operated by the Body Control Module on the 5 volt Can Bus System. When you connect your new Android box, the computer won't have a clue what is going on! Be prepared for a whole heap of trouble.

2003 ford expedition will not crank below 50 degrees. Security light on the dash will flash real fast. motor will turn over just will not crank. later in the day when it warms up it will start right up and...

It can be as simply as a bad battery. The Antitheft system views a low battery as an attempted theft action. Then the Antitheft cuts cranking voltage to around 7 Volts to prevent the engine from starting.

Battery voltage drops in cold weather. This would explain your problem and the activation of the Antitheft light.

Please rate my info. You might try adding a battery charger for a few minutes before you try starting it and see what effects it has.

Another idea is to turn off the A/C when cranking. The A/C clutch is a big drag on the system AND is temperature controlled to disengage the clutch at lower outside temperatures. If this control is not working, the A/C would not disengage.

You can get the starter tested on the vehicle with a DRAW test. The battery can be tested too. FREE at most big parts stores like Autozone.

Expedition headlights flash

I have a vague idea of what it may be and just a few guesses on how to fix it. I think it is a malfunction of the Antitheft system.

First have your battery voltage checked. The Antitheft activates when it senses below normal battery readings. When the Antitheft activates, it actually lowers starter current to about 7 Volts. This is suppose to keep the truck from being started and stolen.

Now what you mentioned about the A/C not working, could be related to the starting problem. Although low Freon pressure can cause that problem, there is an A/C Relay in the Powerbox and the wire loom that runs to the A/C clutch can also carry the other small wires for the starter.

You should probaby find out why the A/C is not working. An animal may have chewed through the wiring loom at some point.

Finally, if you have an extra key, try it to see if the engine starts better. We are looking for a reason for the Antitheft to act up and a bad identity or corrupted key may be why it thinks you are stealing it.

Please rate my info.
