When you say tailings do you mean all the lights on the back including brake/turn signals or do you mean parking lights which includes the front parking lights? People use the term tailings for either one.

My tail lights aren't working on my 2000 sebring

Hello Gay Woodley...

Car batteries are dangerous... (I'd rather douse myself in gasoline & play with matches than work on a battery)

but:

Several things need to be done to lay the groundwork for GOOD TROUBLE SHOOTING:

Modern cars (yours) can act pretty squirrely (alarm trouble) if the battery (or ground) connections are dirty, oxidized and/or wet... Going further into "a sophisticated" investigation without at least a look is pointless... and disconnecting the battery (while messing with your radio (might regain a level of sanity for your VARIOUS CONTROL UNITS/MODULES (ENGINE, BODY))... but I seriously doubt your tail-lights are related
*** (
hard wiring fault... check grounds too)).

White lithium grease can reasonably "PROTECT" an electrical connection... but if it is heavily corroded or oxidized... it must be carefully cleaned (it can be quite caustic immediately at the battery and EXTREME CAUTION is warranted (eye protection, gloves & lots of fresh water (if things go terribly/explosively wrong (to save skin & eyes))).

***That (battery check) being done... you will need YOUR vehicle SCHEMATICS and a volt/ohm meter (see below) to find if your OPEN.

ALTHOUGH it is best to BUY your own... Your schematic (wiring) diagrams are available (free) from BBB Industries (also "some" at autozone.com... not quite as comprehensive... (registration required at both)).

BBB Industries includes some quite excellent Technical service bulletins (TSBs).

Hope this helps!

Car alarm preventing car from starting

Try removing the alarm system relay, some car alarm has also a fuse on the alarm that you can remove.
Many car alarms unlock by inserting and turning car key while you connect the battery.

Hello, every time i crank up my car and turns the wheel the horn starts going off, is there anyway that i can turn the horn off via. fuse, etc.

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. Life up the hood and take out the horn fuse. I have seen multiple Chrysler's, all 1996, have the alarm going off. The horn blows, lights go off, and ticking. I believe there should be a fuse labeled "alarm". That is the one you want to take out. If it is not there, you can always take the horn fuse out. I am not for sure if yours is the black square fuses, but that is where it is on the 96 sebring and avenger. Hope this helps.

My horn on my dodge 2000 stratus is not working properly, its always on. I had to remove the fuse as a temporary fix. How do I repair it?

If you have an after market alarm installed remove the in line power fuse from the alarm and see if that resolves the issue. I would look at the horn buttons on the steering wheel for the fault first as this is the most common area of a problem. If that checks out then you will need to check the horn itself. After that the only place left is the ECM or a short in a wire.

My horn does not work at all in my 2006 chrysler sebring and my inside lihgts also does not work

If your horn is not working and your inside light is not working either your fuse has been removed. (Located on the left side of the steering wheel) pull back the plastic handle and use the chart there to see if the fuses are all in the correct spots. If this is not the case you may have to have the fuse replaced. Lastly there could be and issue with your horn assembly which is easily fixed and the dome light could be a seperate problem.

No tail lights and no interior lights, brake and hazard work

check for the complete fuse box and search for short circuits. Check the fuses and the amps of each. Did you change the battery for a new one? Did you install any device not OEM? An alarm? Check the cable system. If this is ok, scan it.
