Sounds like water getting in one of the connectors. You will need to see what fault code is in there when the light comes on, then look at that sensor.

SOURCE: 2005 chevy colorado cd problem

Try resetting the radio, turn the radio off and disconnect the battery for 30 seconds. Make sure the RADIO IS OFF OR YOUR GOING TO BE ASKED TO ENTER THE RADIO CODE TO HAVE THE RADIO ACTIVE AGAIN. After the battery has be reconnected, turn on the radio and reset your clock and stations. Your CD plays should be working again too. Good luck and hope this helps.

2005 chevy colorado shuts off while driving, try to start but wont crank over. Blows ignition fuse everytime. whats wrong?

Sounds like a short circuit in the starter wireing. It may also be a bad altenater, make sure the batter is not bulging.

2006 chevy colorado out of the blue will not start. just makes clicking sound. Started it drove out of garage shut it off. Went back out 5 minutes later won't start. Clock even reset.

Sounds like a bad battery. A number of chain auto parts stores will check it and your charging system free. Before that, if your battery has removable caps, check the water level, if it's down, fill to the bottom of the fill rings and charge the battery, if you have a battery hydrometer, all the cells should have about the same charge level, if one or more show a lot lower than the others, battery is probably bad. Hope this helps.

My 2005 chevy colorado A/C has a major issue. Turn on the blower on low or 2 after 30 minutes driving time ,You start to get warm due to a reduced air flow from the vents. the expansion valve was replaced...

there's a fan solenoid behind the front passenger side kick panel. the panel pops right out. If you take it to the dealership, they'll fix it because it's a recall item.

2006 chevy colorado cranks over but wont start

2005 Colorado 4x4 stick shift – I had the same thing happen and it had to do with the passlock system – it will keep your truck from starting for approximately 10 minutes, yes you will have to wait and let it sit- if you try to start it will just turn over forever. On my truck the solution was to change my starting procedure, I now keep the truck in neutral-turn the key all the way for a few seconds and then push in the clutch- it starts every time. If you have an automatic I don’t know..
