SOURCE: Chevy S10 Pickup Starter. Removed the two bolts

Just changed a starter in a 94 S10 4x4. The only way to remove the starter was to take the passenger side exhaust manifold off and bring the starter out that way. Installation the same in reverse. Hope this helps. Don

SOURCE: Power steering pump on a 1978 Chevy half ton

First, remove the ps belt by loosing the adjustment bolts, then remove the hoses from behind it, then unbolt the bracket from the engine that the pump sits in. I believe that there are three bolts that do this. One off of the exhaust manifold, one on top and one underneath. Once you have gotten pump off of the motor you need to remove the pulley from the pump. KD tools make a great tool for this, part # KD 2897, about 60 bucks at napa. Follow the directions with the tool to remove the pulley and to replace it on the new one. New pumps don't come with the pulley and can be bought with the resevior. The pulley has to come off to get the pump out of the mounting bracket.

I have a 1996 Chevy K1500. I am putting another bed on it and I need to know what size bolts to use to hold the bed on?

Because of the length and size of all the bolts,it would be easier for you to go to a wrecker and remove the bolts from a same size / make truck and transfer them to the same locations on your truck.

Tail light out on chevy s10 pickup. lens has no screws holding in pick up bed. how do i get the lens out to get to the bulb?

There are torx bits holding them in... not screw... they look like little start bolts. Go to a hardware store or walmart to pick up bits, sockets or drivers. Bits would be the cheapest.

Do i have to remove the differential housing cover to remove C - clips or can i just unbolt the hubs and remove both lock nuts on the hub because I want to check my rear brakes on a 65 chevy 3/4 ton...

Hi! sensenicht
Are there bolts on the outer hubs. If so removing the axel hub bolts will allow you to pull the axles. You should be able to remove the lock nut, lock washer and adjusting nut (second nut) to remove rear brake hubs and drums. The C-Clips are only used on the half ton and lighter cars. This is called floating axels.
Its important to replace the hub seals on the inside of the drums. A small amount of axel greese will make your brakes not work properly.

1990 chevy gladiator van steering column has came loose. It is floppy, how and what is the best way to correct this.

I will assume you really have a G10-20-30 van.(half/ 3/4 or 1 ton full size van)
The fifth digit of your vin should be a G.
Not the 2wheel drive pickup indicated.
That being said, your Gadiator is an aftermarket conversion van with a loose column.
This would have to be a loose tilt bowl on the steering column.
After removing the steering wheel and lock plate, you will find four inverted torx bolts that hold the tilt bowl to the column. Two will be backed way out and loose.Remove these bolts and appy loc tite to the bolt threads, then reassemble.

How do you replace left front unitized bearing on 2000 gmc sierra 1/2 ton pickup

You have to remove the wheel and the brake caliper. If it has antilock brakes disconnect the antilock break sensor wire up by the frame and get the wire free form the holders. Remove the big nut on the end of the axel shaft with a 1-3/8 inch socket, now turn the steering all the way to the left and losen the two bolts behind the hub with good 18MM socket. They are usually very tight be carefull not to round the head of the bolts use a good quality 6 point socket. Turn the bolts out about 6-8 turns and stop now turn the steering all the way to right do the same with the other two bolts. Now, take a air hammer with a punch end in it and hammer on the heads of the bolts, a little at time, on all the bolts, evenly until the hub is loose. If you don't have a air hammer a hammer and punch or drift will work. Then remove the bolts the rest of the way and pull the assembly off. Now you have to drive the wheel studs out and remove the rotor. I just described it on 3/4 ton a 1/2 ton might be easier but the principle is the same, I think there are only 3 bolts holding the hub on and the bolt sizes may differ. Also I think you can pull the rotor right off once caliper is out of the way. Sorry about that.

Hi i have a 1999 chevy silverado short bed that i want to take off where are the bolts that hold it on and what size socket do i need to use thank you

Don't know the size of socket, but if you look in the bed of the truck, you will see the heads of the bolts(round objects about an inch or so in dia) and this will give you the locatiopn for the bolts. Also don't forget to unhook your fuel fill hoses and all electrical connections! before lifting bed.
