Turning off a check system light that's associated withtire pressure light that's also on for a 2006 LEXUS IS 250 AWD
I'm sure this was triggered by me disconnecting the battery the day before. I have heard too many crazy answers, will somebody please give me the one easy fix to this.

Check air pressure first in tires but sometimes the vehicle has to cycle thru to reset --or can go and have trouble code read--recommended-- most auto stores offer this service for free to make sure their is actually no problem and they can clear codes as well

To get it shifts again do this:
Reset your ECU by pulling negative cable off your 12 v battery.
wait 5 mins then connect your negative cable on your battery.
you also need to scan your car to find out the problems.
well the pictures are not in order but you can see what the cover looks like, the filter will be right under it .. there is two screws that are holding that cover in place.the picture above that is how it will look when you remove that cover.you will need a filter wrench to remove it..
there is not a reset for the tire pressure monitor system, the system resets its self when all tires are inflated to the proper psi. 35 psi . dont forget about the spare. if all tires are properly inflated check the "2nd set" switch. it is located under the dash on the passenger side. sometimes they get bumped accidently. unless you have a 2nd set of wheels with sensors the switch should be set to "main"
it has electric power steering, take it to the dealer and ask if the service campaign has been done on the power steering rack. if not then it will be free and they will wash your car for you, fill up your gas tank and replace the steering rack and align the car. if it has been done then maybe they didnt reset the steering gear ecu.
1. turn engine off , 2. press trip meter reset knob and hold it , turn ignition on , with the engine off, continue to press and hold reset knob until the trip meter displays "00000" , reminder light will turn off . if system fails to reset , repeat procedure . +
