Need location of abs module
In the engine bay on the right hand side attached to the abs pump
Hey, Craig, thanks very much for the quick answer to my question. Looks like it's attached to the pump by four Torx screws. Should be a simple job to remove once I unplug the elec. connections. I had found an outfit in Austin that will repair it, just couldn't find it. Thanks again! Bill
my advice dont remove the module from the pump rather take the vehicle to them to confirm its safe to remove if you damage the module when removing it its quite expensive to replace
That's a 300+ round trip in a truck that just failed state safety inspection because of the ABS not working. I think I will need to risk damaging the module. Is there anything you're aware that I need to be careful of?
the casing is brittle plastic so dont force it try not to damage the rubber seals and there might be sensors between the module and abs pump for the module to determine what the drivers steering input is so be careful for that good luck
Hey Craig, I really do appreciate your advice. I will be extra careful removing the module. Thanks again, Bill
