What is the question.?
snarky answer "we give you permission" hehe
but my guess, is what fluid is it? that it/,
i presume you see the 2 plugs. there. fill and drain>?
always remove fill plug first. (if cant stop, do not drain it)
242 and 247 have different fluid capacity.
3pints and 2.5 pints respectively
the operators guide tells gear lube used there.
chapter on 242, example.
Dextron II is not correct in 2016, only DEXron VI. (newest grades are always best )
do not mix them, drain and fill with only one class of lube. 100%

Transfer case

A bit more information would be handy. If it is only a how to check the T-case fluid then its simple: just remove the upper (fill) plug on the aft side of the T-case housing. The fluid should be at the top of the hole or even spill out a bit. The jeep should be on level ground to do this check right. Which fluid it eventual needs depends on which T-case it has.

How do I get 97 jeep grand cherokee limited out of 4WD part time

sometimes because of non moving part inside of transfer case, elements stuck or gets slower to react against changes in mode. try to switch to another transfer mode in nuetral position and stopping. after switching to desired mode move few hundred meters.

if this does not help you may need to check linkage on transfer case.

99 jeep grand cherokee limited, have no 4wd. fluid was empty when i got truck filled case, still no 4wd. 242 quad trac. put vehicle on lift shifted into drive rear wheels only engage. any ideas?

If it was ever towed with the wheels on the ground (not dollied) then the transfer case is probably "burned out" and you will need to replace it. These models of jeeps are full time 4WD and MUST be dollied or towed on a carrier or rollback type truck. Unless they have manual locking hubs.

dirt, show, ice, pavement , on road, off road. what????
we cant guess that. only that it makes noise. and all do driving wrong,

"
do not play with this fluid or use GL4 or GL5 or mix in other wrong fluids, or omg adding additives of any kind like dang LOOCUSS bs.

your video is dead.

tell when it make noise

Transfer Case leaks

can't help with leak...you didn't say what is leaking...change fluid by removing two one inch flat bolts at back of case, drivers side bottom is drain, upper is fill (remove fill first...if frozen you can't re-fill it.)
