Ok here's the thing. I have a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid. The radio has the Navigator, XM, CD player AM-FM. So one day the display and radio stop working. The CD door would open but would not close. The CD would still play but no controls. Nothing on the radio functions would work. I don't subscribe to XM radio but the promotional channel would play. No other modes would work AM-FM, Maps, Menu, Setup Etc. Checked fuses all were good 'yes', I checked the 29 and 30. So I'm looking for some kind of reset button finding none I'm thinking that maybe as with some equipment you disconnect the power to reset. So I disconnect the battery yes. Well, no it seems, as now nothing works at all. But tonight as my wife turns the key the screen comes on and ask for the code which of course we don't have. She gets home, shuts off the car and we once again have nothing. Anyone out there can help out?

it sounds like it may have a bad laser or even dirty try removing the cover and gently cleaning the lens if you dont feel confident i would suggest you put it in for a repair usually removing the battery lead for up to half an hour will reset the system and put it back to its original state but its suggested if it doesnt then its internal usually the laser.

You might have to change the spark plugs or at least have them cleaned.
SOURCE: Honda Accord Key Code
To get the radio to work you don't enter the "key code" for your keys. You enter the security code for the radio. Two different numbers. if you make 10 attempts and fail, I believe you have to leave the radio on for either a half hour or an hour before retrying with the correct code. If you can't locate the security code for the radio try this:
The code normally comes on a separate document as does key codes or numbers. You could check the owner's manual to see if it was noted in there. (A bad idea.) Also check for a sticker inside your glove box. If that doesn't work then you need to remove the radio/CD player from the dash to get it's serial number from the back of it. Take that number with your VIN to a Honda dealer and they should be able to get your security code for you. They will likely ask for your driver's license & registration to prove you own the vehicle.
SOURCE: 2004 Accord EX CD changer ERR and display blank
This is the Radio Anti Theft feature which is activated whenever there is a complete power loss to the radio (as in when it is stolen out of the car). A Honda Tech or ASE Certified Auto Tech would have plugged in a Memory Minder into the OBDII slot to not only prevent this, but also protect the Main ECM from resetting which could create drivability issue.
If the Honda is now registered in your name, take it to your local Honda Dealer. They should be able to pull the Radio Serial number without removing it like in the older Hondas, simply a matter of pushing the right buttons. With the Radio Serial Number, Your Proof of Ownership (Registration) and a Photo ID that matches it, either the Parts Department Or Service should be able to give you a Radio Code for it.
As for the CD ERR codes, the CD player probably is broken and will need to be sent out by Honda to a outside facility to be repaired. That will probably run between $250 to $350, plus the labor cost to remove it and reinstall it.
If you just bought this Honda, or any vehicle, I always strongly recommend having a Manufacture Dealership do at least a oil change on it and check what other services may be due, you might also discover it has Recalls that have yet to be completed that they can take care of for you. Catch the little problems before they ruin that Great Deal you just got buying it.
Strongly suggest you also join Hondas “OwnersLink”, you can find it on the Honda web site under Owners Resources links. In the future you can use this to recover your Radio code after you’ve been registered for awhile. Also keeps you notified of Recalls, Service Issues and even sends out Discount coupons (Latest is a $119 trunk cargo trays for $39, that is a Fantastic Deal).
Good Luck
