What if the customer doesn't know what these parts are, heck I know folks that have no idea what a "Plenum" is much less a throttle body or a "closed crankcase ventilation and
evaporation control systems" . Come on now video's are the most asked for format of tutorial on doing a repair, that is why god created youtube in response to millions of prayers.

    then post but one answer,
    "get car serviced."
there only 2 answers that and how do it correctly and safely. (name a 3rd)_?
there is no other answer, if a person is not motivated to learn or buy tools. then
get car serviced, and stay off of youtube.

    no god didnt do that.
and most youtube videos are totally wrong
or bad. and most lack safety steps.
    as the book does.
the above video is in the pathetic area.
did you even watch it, seems not.
btw i have posted this free FSM here
on his car, 100s of times.
    and is free.

What is name of the part where the thermostat housing is connected to for a 94 chrysler lhs 3.5L

From the pictures I could find, the thermostat housing is bolted onto the intake manifold. If one of the bolts broke off while taking it off, then if your real careful, you might be able to grab it with a pair of "vise grips". Make sure to use a good penetrating oil like liquid wrench or PbBlaster. If it broke off flush then you might get luck with a small drill bit and an EZ out.

Need instructions for replacing thermostat on a 2001 Grand Cherokee 4.7 litre

Do not loosen radiator drain **** with system hot and pressurized. Serious burns from coolant can occur.

NOTE Do not waste reusable coolant. If solution is clean, drain coolant into a clean container for reuse. If thermostat is being replaced, be sure that replacement is specified thermostat for vehicle model and engine type.
Instructions

  1. Locate the Cherokee's thermostat intake housing by following the top radiator hose to the engine. The hose connects to the thermostat intake. A second, smaller hose connects to the left side of the radiator hose. This is a bypass hose for the heater.
  2. Remove the two bolts that secure the Cherokee's thermostat intake housing to the engine with a socket and ratchet and lift the intake upward to drain the coolant in the hose back into the radiator.
  3. Remove the gasket and the thermostat from the engine and discard them. Wipe the mating surfaces of the thermostat intake housing and the engine off with a clean towel.
  4. Place the new thermostat, spring down, into the engine and place the thermostat gasket over the thermostat.
  5. Place the thermostat intake housing onto the thermostat gasket. Thread the bolts into the thermostat intake by hand to avoid cross-threading the bolts and then tighten them using a socket and ratchet.
Additional information:
  1. Clean mating areas of timing chain cover and thermostat housing.
  2. Install thermostat (spring side down) into recessed machined groove on timing chain cover.
  3. Position thermostat housing on timing chain cover.
  4. Install two housing-to-timing chain cover bolts. Tighten bolts to 115 inch lbs. (13 Nm).
CAUTION Housing must be tightened evenly and thermostat must be centered into recessed groove in timing chain cover. If not, it may result in a cracked housing, damaged timing chain cover threads or coolant leaks.
  5. Install lower radiator hose on thermostat housing.
  6. Install splash shield.
  7. Lower vehicle.
  8. Fill cooling system.
  9. Connect negative battery cable to battery.
  10. Start and warm the engine. Check for leaks.
Good Luck and if this helps don't forget to vote.

Need to replace the themostat

  • Remove the bolts that hold the thermostat housing onto the intake manifold of the MR2 with an adjustable wrench and pull up on the thermostat housing to remove it from the intake. The housing is still connected to the hose. Lift the thermostat housing and the hose up to drain the antifreeze back into the radiator.
  • 2 Remove the old thermostat from the hole inside of the intake manifold and replace it with a new one. Pull the thermostat gasket off of the top of the intake manifold and wipe the manifold clean with a towel.
  • 3 Place a bead of RTV gasket maker around the bottom edge of the thermostat housing and allow it to dry for 15 minutes. Place the thermostat housing back onto the intake manifold and bolt the housing back into place. Allow 15 more minutes of drying time and slightly tighten the bolts again. This will form a solid seal between the intake manifold and the thermostat housing.

Water\coolant leaking from engine after shutting engine down

It takes a lot more than a small leak to consider your engine as "totaled"
Have the system pressure tested and carefully inspected. Every leak has a source. some are easy to find, some are a bit more difficult. A shop can use a fluorescent dye and a black light to locate the source if you can't.
I'd check the corners of the intake manifold and timing chain housing. Also, check the hoses again. A small pin-hole can squirt coolant far away from the hole itself and is often very difficult to see.

How to replace the intake manifold? I have a 96 grand cherokee v8, unable to replace the thermostat housing to the manifold because one of the screw holes cracked off on the manifold.

Position The Intake Manifold Gasket On The Engine.Dowels May Be Provided To Hold The Gasket In Place During Manifold Installation.. The Use Of Silicone Sealer Is Required. Especially Where The Front And The Rear Seals Meet The Side Gaskets On V-type Engines. Installing An Intake Manifold On V-type Engines Can Be Difficult. It Is Critical That You Use Sealer Properly On The Engine To Prevent Vacuum,Coolant, And Oil Leaks.

Start All The Fasteners By Hand Before Tightening. This Will Aid In Bolt Hold Alignment. Then Torque The Intake Manifold Fasteners To Specifications. Use The Specific Torque Pattern Given In The Service Manual.. Basically The Pattern Will Be A Crisscross Pattern

Intake manifold sealant repair now leaking maybe oil? coolant b4

You need to remove the thermostat housing again. Then you will have to extract the bolts you broke off. You will need to drill and tap them so you can use an easy out to remove the broken bolts from the threads. Then you can clean up both mating surfaces and replace the gasket and the thermostat. Check to make sure you did not crack the thermostat housing or you may have another leak when finished. They are usually aluminum and break easily if too much pressure is applied or they are corroded and weak.

    Coolant leak

You may want to check it with an ultraviolet dye and light kit.You can get a kit from a good auto parts store and do it yourself. They have dyes for every kind of fluid a car has. A very handy tool and not very expensive either.
