Hard start and smoke after replacing starter

1.Probably the battery to starter thick wire is loose, jointed, under sized (too thin to hold the heavy starter current) or shorted to ground.
2. Main ground wire from battery to engine is loose or aged.
3. Improper connection between the battery and chassis ground.
4. Starter motor defective.

2003 focus loses memory when tured off 2 mechanics said it might be a fuse what fuse is it car wont hold its memory

Check first the parts that is more accessible such as the terminals for the battery and any ground wires that may have come loose. If it is the fuse, inspect the fuse box for loose connection. If the fuse blows out after replacing, have the wires inspected. You may have wires that may be grounded due to bad insulation or bad connection. These may cause the ECU of the car to loose power and in turn loose memory.

Blower fan in '06 pontiac solstice works intermittently. Where is the fuse and is it the fuse or a connection problem?

I would check for the ground.
If the fuse is blown it would not work intermittantly.. it could be a loose fuse (not likely).. more likely a ground wire is a little loose...this SHOULD be on the motor...not sure where the blower motor is but it should be under the hood on the firewall, between the motor and the interior of the car...examine and wiggle the wires to see what happens, secure the ground if you find the loose wire..

Burnt ground wire on fuel pump

Burnt ground wire can be caused by loose ground fitting (not screwed in tight to the frame or body). Ground wire too small or ground wire connected to an anti-theft alarm system which use small wire, 10 gauge wire should be used on fuel pump ground.
If you have a lot of miles on your car, use a 5-40 synthetic oil, this will help oil comsumption.

2002 sunfire high beam light will not go off and service light stays on

The mechanic should check on the ignition switch, the head light relay , the control module the fuse and the wires , and the high beam light connection .Maybe because of there is loose wire connection that is grounding that causes the high beam to stay on light and not go off .And also check if there is a wire that is been grounded or grounding to the other wires. The service light will stay on light because of the problem. The high beam of the head light.then you have to reconnect the loose wires or grounding or grounded wires .As I can see there is no malfunctioning or malfunctioned of spare parts because of the light is on and just n don't turn off.

Yoy can jump the truck off, but wile you are

It is probably a loose ground wire. If it only does it while hitting bump, then there is a loose wire somewhere. It may be loose fuse but probably loose wire or solder joint going to dash control board
