How to fix my rear tailgate window

check the fuse/relay. if it is neither of these check the switch with a multimeter. If you can hear the motor trying to move the glass when you try the switch it may be the regulator needs attention. It may be the motor needs to be replaced.

check fuse and relay along with the switch first then the regulator and motor afterwards. Replacing the small electronics is obviously easier than having to open up the tailgate to check the mechanics of the winedow.

I, i have a GMC envoy 2004 V8 whit two serpentine,i change the small serpentine(tensioner) but, before i desconected the batterie,,,,Why my car no star now????

Hello,,If you have an after market car starter/keyless entry, the car wont start with the hood up also when unhooking/hooking bateries back up with the hood open throws the remote into a lockdown mode, with every thing hooked up and ready for the road,,close hood and lock up your suv and let sit for about ten to fifteen min then unlock and it should start. i sat at a hospital for two hours boosting my truck, it would spin over quite fast but wouldnt start and thats what i did and it fired rite up,,good luck..

2004 gmc envoy shifter stuck key wont release

First i would check your brake switch it works a locking mechanism right along side your gear shifter which locks the gearshift in place. also look for a slot sometimes there is a slot made for you to slide your key into to release the shifter and allow you to move it manually. it will be on top somewhere by your shifter identification indicator PRND321 if the brake switch is good remove the PRD321 cover and look for the lock on the right hand side at the base of the shifter this may need replacing. thanks for using Fix Ya

Gmc envoy 04, the gear shift slides up and down but the gear did not engage. another word, the xuv won't move

The shift cable probably has broken, usually the ring at the end breaks. Below is a diagram that shows the cable (it is item #7)

The 2004 Envoy has a problem with the transmission failing. It could be an electronics problem, but it sounds as though there is no pressure in the transmisssion, perhaps a bad pump.

I have a 2004 GMC Envoy XT with 4wd. I started to

sounds like you have a broken shifter cable.Go under the rig and shift the transmision manually.Put on the parking brake and on the drivers side of the trany should be the lever to move.Look for the broken part while you are there it will also help to locate the shift lever on the trany.
