Just changed water pump on the car and now it wont start
You're not giving much to go on. Is it a 2.0L or a 2.4L?
You say it won't start. Does it turn over and not fire, or does it just sit there and do nothing when you turn the key?
Both engines require you to remove the timing belt in order to change the water pump. The 2.0L is definitely an interference engine, and I'm not sure about the 2.4L. But if the timing belt was not re-installed properly, it will result in a no-start condition since the valves will not be in sync with the pistons and spark. Best case scenario you correct the issue and are good to go. Worst case scenario is that if the belt is out too far, you bent valves and have to service the head(s).
If it does'nt turn over make sure the ground cable is attached to the block.
