IT WAS LOCATE IN UPPER OF THE BRAKE PEDAL
BEFORE YOU CHANGE IT CHECK FOR :-
STOP LAMP SWITCH AND ASCD CANCEL SWITCH CLEARANCE
1. Twist and pull to remove switch.
2. Pull up on brake pedal pad and hold.
3. Insert switch into retainer until switch plunger is completely depressed.
4. Turn the switch until it locks into place in the brake pedal bracket.
NOTE:
When turning the switch to lock into place, the switch backs off the stopper to the correct clearance automatically.
5. Release the brake pedal pad.

Transmission shift indicator light on center console.
First make sure the fuse is good.
If the fuse is good then remove the screws holding the center console cover. You will need a long and short phillip screwdriver. Look for screws in the cup holder, under the handbrake handle and where the console runs under the dash. You may have to move seats forward/backward to reach the screws. When you attempt to raise the console cover you will notice you overlook a screws. Remove them also. You may be able to reach the bulb without removing the gear shift handle. DO NOT TOUCH any other electronics you see. The AIRBAG ACTUATOR is located here also. Replace bulb. Test before reassembly. Good Saturday morning project.

Hi! You may just have a grounded wire and I suggest that you have it checked thouroughly by an auto electrician to correct this. The battery light is an indication of a weak battery or faulty alternator but if it starts fine then its certainly just a grounded wiring somewhere. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!
