To remove or bleed the clutch master, you will need to first remove the battery and the air box. After, you will find the clutch pedal assembly and finally the clutch master cylinder.

Sure sounds like a throw out bearing having too much room. Might need adjustment.

SOURCE: clutch problem

When a clutch goes out, it first gives a warning by slipping for a period of time. If not corrected, eventually there will be "nothing there".

SOURCE: subaru impreza/ manual side window stuck

You are having a problem with the "window regulator" remove the door panel, see if the window regulator bolts fell out. they are usually in between the plastic door covering and the door or inside the door on the bottom. they are four bolts that a 10 mm wrench fit, they are short about 1/4 of an inch long, if they fell out you can simply put them back in (I recommend using lock tite on them) These bolts are located in the middle of the door a little towards the front. If your bolts are still in place you probably need a window regulator.

How to change the seals on a clutch master cylinder for a 98 Subaru outback

It's been years since I have rebuilt a clutch master, since they have gotten so cheap, but if you really want to do this, first tear down the unit and lay all parts out in order to aid in reassembly. Next, inspect the bore of the unit to see how bad it is. It badly scratched or pitted, stop and replace the entire unit. If it looks ok, hone the bore with a hone tool using clean brake fluid, clean with more clean fluid, and install new parts using assembly lube. Bench bleed, then install and bleed the system.

How to replace master cylinder on subaru impreza 2.0 GX

Not sure for a subaru.. but generally speaking this is what needs to be done.

The MC (Master Cylinder) is held on with 2 nuts typically.

BEFORE removing them, the engine should be off, then pump the brake pedal till it gets real hard (to deplete the vacuum in the vacuum booster).

There should be a wire hooked to the Fluid level switch (FLI) in the reservoir - unhook this.

You then need to remove the brake lines from the MC (suck out the fluid from the reservoir with a turkey baster first to reduce the amount of fluid running out of the MC).

Then remove the 2 nuts that hold it to the vacuum booster and you can remove the entire MC.

Put the new MC on, tighten the 2 nuts, hook up the brake lines, and connect the FLI.

Then fill the reservoir with fresh brake fluid and fully bleed the brake system.

Optional: You can bench bleed the MC before installing it, if you have plugs to keep the outlets closed while you install the MC.

IMPORTANT: Do not attempt this if you are not sure how to bleed the brake system. It will not perform properly unless you do a good job bleeding out all the air!

Cant find clutch master cylinder Subaru outback impreza sport 1997.

On most cars the clutch master cylinder is generally mounted to the firewall next to the brake master cylinder, HOWEVER quite a number of manual transmissions have cable operated clutches, and if I remember correctly Subaru was one of them.

My 1996 Chevrolet K3500 Dually has a hydraulic clutch, how do I change the fluid and bleed it.

FIRST REMOVE ALL OLD FLUID FROM CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER YOU CAN USE A SIPHON YOU HAND PUMP.AUTO PARTS STORES SELLS THE HAND PUMP SIPHONS. THEY DONT COST MUCH AND KEEP FROM MAKING A MESS.SIPHON OUT MUCH AS YOU CAN THE OLD FLUID IN THE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER.THEN POUR IN THE NEW FLUID DOT 3 BRAKE FLUID IN CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER.OKAY YOU NEED A HELPER.LOCATE THE SLAVE CYLINDER.REMOVE SLAVE CYLINDER HOLD SLAVE CYLINDER 45 DEGREES WITH BLEEDER SCREW LOCATED AT THE HIGHEST POINT.HAVE A SMALL DRAIN PAN UNDER SLAVE CYLINDER.HAVE HELPER FULLY DEPRESS AND HOLD THE CLUTCH PEDAL THEN OPEN BLEED SCREW.CLOSE THE BLEED SCREW AND HAVE HELPER RELEASE THE CLUTCH PEDAL.REPEAT THIS PROCESS UNTIL ALL THE OLD BRAKE FLUID AND AIR BUBBLES LEAVES THE HYDRALIC SYSTEM AND WHEN YOU CAN SEE GOOD STREAM CLEAN FLUID NO BUBBLES YOU HAVE GOOD SOLID CLUTCH ALL IS GOOD.MAKE SURE THROUGH THE BLEEDING PROCESS YOU DONT LET CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER RUN DRY OR YOU WILL HAVE TO START OVER.KEEP CLUTCH MASTER CYLINER FULL BRAKE FLUID WHILE DOING THE WHOLE BLEEDING AND FLUSHING PROCESS.

I have a 07 STi.. when i push the clutch all the way in and it will not go into gear, it feels like theres no pressure when i push it, is there a way a can fix that r do i need a new clutch???

I highly doubt that its your clutch.... If you have no pressure on the pedal, its most likely your clutch master cylinder. If that doesn't solve your problem you just might have bad or worn out syncros
Start with checking the master cylinder first and go from there

After fitting clutch, prob selecting gear at times pedal goes to floor

Either Master cylinder or Slave cylinder have a leak and it might be a AIR leak, sucking in air on the pedal returne, so get both the slave cylinder done first HONE out and new kit fitted.
2nd if on go Master cylinder out send away for resleaving /or new cylinder and pressure bleed( thats pump 3 times fast holddown and bleed lock up bleeder) and do the same again and again then top up tank and all should be 100%

Clutch not responding

well if you have mixed a wrong type of fluid (such as power steering or oils) you are going to have to replace the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. Before you install the new parts be sure to drain all the old fluid out of the clutch line, and flush the clutch line with brake cleaner and blow compressed air thru until its clean and dry. install your new parts and fill with fresh (NEW) fluid whatever the manufacturer recommends most any DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluids will work (read the cap on the resivoir) and proceed with bleeding the air from the system, i usually fill up the resivoir with the bleed screw open(on the slave) until fluid with no air comes out and then proceed with the bleeding process this is called gravity bleeding and will help speed things along be sure to rate this and good luck this is not very hard to do and should take about an hour HERE IS THE MASTER
AND HERE IS THE SLAVE about $80 in parts altogether including fluid please rate _JEFF
